The atmosphere is excellent. There is an abundance of staff to serve you. They have a very good wine list that is heavily marked up. The price per meal is a bit high.

First time there. So nice. Great food. Beautiful views.cant wait to tell my family and friends. I will be back.

Food and beverage are excellent, the view is beautiful, service is wonderful, just be prepared if you sit outside to deal with some loud traffic from time to time.

Overall the food was very good but we ordered a lobster tail as an add to the risotto it was small and overcooked and it cost $50 ouch. The staff was very good!

A repeat customer, great food/location but service from last visit was poor. Unfortunate given it was to celebrate a 50th birthday.

I took a new friend here for lunch, she had never been! I was delighted with our window table so we could see the Ocean and all the wonderful beach activity. Our waitress promptly greeted us, got our drinl order and offered menus. She gave us plenty of space to just visit., She was available, but not intrusive. So many delicious options to choose from, I settled on a bowl of Minestrone Soup and Wedge Salad. The soup was full of veggies, pasta and steak chunks; the salad was sectioned in small wedges and drizzled with plenty of delishous dressing, bacon and crumbled blue cheeses. Yum! My friend ordered a Seafood Plate with Calamari and Squid and the like. She ate every bite! Oh, So did I !! My husband and I like to bring out of town guests here since it's right across from a beautiful Carlsbad Beach, it's also a special occasion place as well. If you've not been, your missing out! p.s. They have Valet Parking whcih is very nice on a busy weekend, for a small fee.

Firstly, the two stars for service were for the really generous assistant wait staff. Staff: We arrived for our reservation about 15 minutes early and went to check in. The hostess upon seeing our party of four walk up rolled her eyes and turned her back to us while she continued a conversation with a coworker. Against our better judgement we didn't turn around and leave in that moment which we should have. 56 seconds of ignored silence until my husband cleared his throat and the hostess sighed and turned back around- almost bothered that we were there. We were then told we needed to wait after giving our name for the reservation. Once seated, we ordered our kids their meals along with a salad and then ordered our entrees five minutes after. It took 15 minutes for the food to come out and then over an hour from our order time to when our entrees came out. We should've known after the waiter came to us for a third time telling us they were behind that we should've gotten up, paid for our salad and kids meals and left. But we didn't and continued to wait. Food: subpar at best. I was really hoping for a great meal but it was all rushed- burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside since they were so behind in the kitchen. At this point it was nearly 9pm and having been there for over 90 minutes we didn't even have the strength to argue or complain about the food. To add insult to injury- I'm surprised the quality of the olive oil is permitted or even the actual use of whatever it is they are using to pass off as olive oil. There is no way that isn't cut with either canola oil or another cheap oil. It tasted terrible- real olive oil isn't light yellow and practically clear. Overall considering this was a birthday dinner and was nearly $300, I am really disappointed. We went home hungry and exhausted from such a terrible experience, we definitely won't be back. There are plenty of other restaurants to choose from in the area.

This place has never not been great. Been coming for long time.. not as often as I would like to.

First time at Vigilucci's and it was overall a really nice evening. Great service, delicious food with beautiful presentation, sunset view, beautiful restaurant. This restaurant was highly recommended to me and did not disappoint. I'll be back.

Service and food excellent. And of course the view is priceless. The combination is a great value.

My wife and I were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and hoped the evening would be special. The evening started out rocky. We were 1st in line at the valet. The attendant told us that they needed to get a couple cars out of the parking lot and that it'll take 5-10 minutes. My wife left and checked us in. Things got chaotic during the next 10-15 minutes. The person waiting in line behind me got impatient and cut in front of me. He attempted to enter the parking lot, but was stopped by the attendant. He stayed parked there for several minutes and finally drove off. In the meantime, several cars lined up behind me in the bike lane. As luck would have it, a man in a motorized wheelchair came up yelling at everyone for blocking the bike lane. He had to swerve in traffic due to the man who cut in line (he hadn't yet left). Eventually we got into the valet lot. The attendants were apologetic and very hard working, but my nerves were frazzled. Not the way to start our celebration. Service and food was excellent with the exception of the lobster tail. It was a bit spongy. We noted the restaurant has expanded considerably since we last visited, but the parking has not expanded. Not sure we will be returning until the parking issue is resolved.

Great service by the staff! The food is well prepared and delicious. We tried a couple new menu items and were really impressed. Can't beat the view!!
