We heard about the Friday night spiney lobster dinner and wanted to try it. EXCELLENT! Our waiter was Alejandro and he was wonderful. As a matter of fact, entire staff was great.

Had the lobster special, which was wonderful. Service was great and the food outstanding. The pineapple desert was out of sight, althought the other desert was so so. Highly recommend the restaurant. If the weather was warmer it would have been nice to sit outside and see the sun go down over the ocean. Will go again.

Here were are orders: arepas always amazing. Guacamole same. Market fis delicious. Friends had lobster tacos and mushroom side. Scallops excellent. My husband had the pork trio. Churros to finish. We brought our own wine so I cannot comment on wine list. Our guests loved restaurant.

The scallops and eggplant were an amazing dish. I had this dish with a glass of Sancerre wine The service was impressive. The sunset from the balcony made for a really nice evening.

Alejandro was uh-mazing. We had oysters, lobster, arepas and paella. The food was to die for. What a treat! Also, they were very accommodating with my gluten free restriction and other food allergies. We were there to celebrate my mom's birthday and they pulled out all the stops. Thank you!

This was our second time celebrating New Year's Eve family dinner at Ponto Lago, and once again it was excellent. We enjoyed the specially designed menu with a wide variety of options. As expected, the food was delicious, and the overall experience at one of the best resorts in Carlsbad, CA was outstanding. The service was excellent, and our waiter kept the table clean. A white tablecloth would have elevated the presentation even more.

I have been to over 1,000 restaurants from all over the world - including many Michelin star ones (1-3 stars) and everything at this restaurant was amazing and underrated. From the staff of Alexandro to Sihad, to the runners and other servers, they were all attentive, professional and very knowledgeable of the food. The lobster taco was one of the best I've had. Fresh, simple but colorful! I work with so many lawyers and doctors (being one myself) and will refer many business people to this hidden gem of yours in Carlsbad:)

When we realized we were late for our Top Golf Suite (in the hotel) reservation, he offered to have our dessert delivered to the suite.
