I really wanted to like Windmill Food Hall — the setup looks promising with 14 different food vendors under one roof. But after sampling dishes from several spots, I left wishing I’d just crossed the street for a burger at Carl’s Jr.
We tried five different vendors, hoping something would stand out, but the food was a parade of bland, overpriced mediocrity.
• Asado Guacho’s skirt steak burrito tasted like it had been cooked on a seafood grill that hadn’t been cleaned since last summer — faintly fishy and all wrong.
• Appetizer meatballs with a breadstick? Straight out of a frozen dinner playbook, complete with jarred sauce and no flavor to speak of.
• Musubi rolls were decent but served cold, while the California rolls were just meh 😑 after a 30+ minute wait — and they gave us two soy sauce packets for the trouble.
• The fried gyoza was actually good — hot, crisp, and seasoned — but the dipping sauce was so dull it almost canceled out the win.
The concept is great, but the execution? Not so much. Everything felt like a lazy mashup of food-court shortcuts and “that’s fine” flavors.
If you’re hungry and nearby, skip the 14-vendor roulette and head across the street to Carl’s Jr. — at least you’ll get your food hot, fast, and with some actual taste.

Instantly smells like bad sewage when you walk in . Crowded spots, didn't notice there was outside seating tho because the back corner was a bit to stuffy for me. Food was fire tho, we got Thai, Mexican and burgers .

Loud, screaming kids...chaos is not what I want when eating a meal. Cosmo's was a bright spot in an otherwise dismal experience. Friendly, fast service...really good burgers.

After a long day at Legoland this was the closest Eatery with many selections. The build your own pasta with salmon is a must try.

Love the food options! There's a wide variety and though we only had burgers, they were fantastic. Plenty of seating and fun games
