Very disappointing experience.
I came here for lunch and left extremely dissatisfied with both the service and the food. I ordered a draft beer, a crab cocktail, and two entrées.
• The first beer was almost all foam. I asked for a replacement, and after 10 minutes they brought back the same thing, only flat. I had to ask again and finally settled for a bottled beer.
• The crab meat in the cocktail was decent, but that was the only positive.
• Food and drinks came out very slowly, even though the place was far from busy and had plenty of empty tables.
• Only one entrée was served at first. When I asked about the second one, the server said he thought we only ordered one, even though there were two of us.
• The second entrée eventually arrived incomplete, looked terrible, and didn’t taste good either.
Overall, very poor service and unimpressive food. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Bar tender, Madison, was very pleasant. Made me feel like she was glad We were there. The bathroom was unbelievably clean! Had fish and chips and they really good! This place is definitely worth trying!

Wonderful find! Great little restaurant with outstanding food! Fast friendly service. Large selection of foods and spirits. ♿ accessible, including the restrooms. Only issue worth mentioning was the noise level and it cannot handle large groups. We will definitely return and recommend it when you are in town!

Always great for oysters, so I thought I’d try their crab cake this time = MISTAKE! There was not ONE piece of crab in it at all, just a patty of pasty “filler”. I told both the Bartender AND the front door Hostess about it and they both did NOTHING. I drove 3 hours to not only spend time in Carmel, but to eat here, so there is NO MORE AW SHUCKS for me. Plenty of other places nearby that actually give you crab when you pay for it and also try to make the nightmare better.

Long wait for extremely poor food. I’m actually surprised that this has such a high rating. Calamari was over fried and not much calamari in the fried batter, the proportion was a little off. The clam chowder was extremely watery and flavorless. I really hope they improve their cooking for the future! My friend said that even the water tasted off.
