Anton & Michel Restaurant

The ambience was beautiful and wish the weather was warmer so we could have sat on their lovely patio. The room was a little loud when we arrived but quieted down eventually. Our server was very pleasant too.

This restaurant has changed drastically from its roots. There was a day when Anton & Michel meant fine dining in a romantic, low-key atmosphere when folks donned their finest clothes for an evening of bliss. Waiters were just as well-dressed as the guests, addressing the diners with sharpness and class. Presentation of food was beautiful, and evening dinnerware was elegant. One didn't mind paying the tab. Unfortunately, we in our party who had the good fortune of dining at Anton & Michel before it left the hands of the original owner, departed the restaurant disappointed after such a forgettable experience.

A favorite restaurant- atmosphere is lovely. You can actually converse with your table mates and the food always good.Service is attentive - just like this place!!

We had a comfortable table for 4 people and selected 2 nice wines from their fairly extensive wine list. Alexandra was terrific as she guided us through the menu. We enjoyed a variety of entrees, including the lamb, short ribs and filet. Each was deemed among the "best ever" by our group. We were so full we had no room for dessert. This is a "must-do" dining spot in Carmel by the Sea.

Excellent meal with classic ambiance & food. Our only complaint was the high corkage fee but our server took care to decant our 30 year old bottle in the kitchen.

The place is very pleasant - modern oasis in Carmel. Our appetizers were very good, but the main courses were between bad and really bad. We had chicken and duck. Do not recommend either one.

Good food and reasonably priced (for CA). My grilled chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries were perfect, and the two others in my party liked their lunch entrées as well. My husband had cream of cauliflower soup and a crabcake which he thought were quite good.

It was our first visit to this restaurant and we were there to celebrate our anniversary. The food was fabulous and the ambiance very upscale as well as the service. Our server was great and overall we had a special evening and we will surely return!

Always excellent. The food and service are outstanding. Also the view of the Court if the Fountains is delightful. We are local residents who eat here frequently.

Very good food. The oysters Rockefeller were fabulous - crunchy tasteful topping & good size creamy oysters! The best we've had in a very long time . We were so pleased we changed our salad or soup course & had another 1/2 doz OR !!! Very good service & we liked that the mgmt stopped by the tables.

We had a very delightful birthday celebration here with wonderful service and care and delicious food. I highly recommend it for any occasion. 

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Anton & Michel. The outdoor seating was wonderful and everything we ordered was top notch. Our waiter Jorge was fantastic and ensured we had a great celebration. We will definitely be back!

I can’t say enough about our night - so beautiful, food was incredible and David, our waiter, was incredibly attentive and gave the best service!! Must try! And sit outside for sure!
