Ate outside in the courtyard which was really pretty. The staff were so accommodating and looked after us very well. Really enjoyable evening enjoying delicious food and wine.
We had dinner reservations on August 17 at 6:30 pm. We were seated indoors, with a window that faced the lovely courtyard with a fountain. Our issue was with the waiter. He gave us our menus and said, “Wine is only available by the bottle.” A woman seated across from us at another table, overheard the waiter, and said, “You can get it by the half bottle also.” We ordered a cheeseboard. No explanation of what cheeses were on the board. . I am a small woman, and I cannot consume massive quantities of food. I asked my husband if he would like to split an entree with me so we could enjoy the much-sought-after dessert here, Cherries Jubilee. All the waiter said was, There is a 3.00 split plate charge. Okay. We waited for our entree to arrive and service was slow. The entrée was delicious. The waiter did not come by to inquire about the food. We never saw him again, then he presented with an unsmiling face, and dropped off the dessert menu - no suggestions. I had been looking forward to dessert, yet the waiter was so off-putting, I told my husband just to pay the check, and I would wait for him outside. The restaurant had no capacity to pay at the table (available in Europe for 15 plus years). My husband had to go to the front desk and pay. I will give the place another shot next time I am in Carmel for the car show, but not with that waiter!
We brought two out of town friends to A&M and were greeted warmly, shown promptly to a lovely table in a beautifully decorated room. Service was attentive and knowledgeable. Very nice wine list . Appetizers and mains perfectly prepared, great flavor. We finished up with bananas foster prepared flambé at table side. Our friends remarked that this is better than any restaurant in Dallas. Anton & Michel is our go-to fine dining in Carmel.
Very noisy, pork chop was recommended but was very dry and over cooked Waiter was less than impressive, been there many times and this was the worse meal and service I've had there. The owner was very generous to make things right but last night was a disaster!!
⸻ Impeccable service from start to finish! The Caucasian gentleman with an accent at the front was so warm and welcoming, and our incredible Filipino waiter — who has been there for 36 years — made the night unforgettable. We came for my husband's birthday, and they truly went above and beyond. Highly recommend this place for a special occasion!
The best restaurant in Carmel...whatever you do, order their Lasagna! The best of all! Dining on the patio is like being in south of France.
Joyita escondida de Carmel, nos encantó, personal sumamente amable, buenos cócteles, sopa de cebolla riquisima y nuestro mesero David como el hostess muy simpáticos y atentos
The food is delicious, the ambience is idyllic, and the customer service is the right touch of friendly. We went for our anniversary and came back the next day for more!
We visit Carmel the first week of August every year and Anton & Michel's is the first place we book. Dining outside is spectacular.
Went there for lunch. We ordered flank steak and seared tuna nicoise. The steak was very tough, felt like it just came out of the freezer. The seared tuna was blend and tasteless. Service was very good, sorry the waitress had to serve bad food

My go to restaurant in Carmel. Awesome staff and food. Great choices and variety to eat. Flaming deserts that you can't beat anywhere. Bar tender Jun is in a class of his own...fabulous!
From the host stand, through t excellent service and delicious food to a gracious and fond farewell we four had a fantastic dinner and proud to be locals inviting our out of town friends.
Food was great. Unfortunately, they were out of the lasagna, which is quite a popular dish. Overall had a great experience
Very nice menu. Hubby & I both graded the food B+. Excellent service. Limited wines by the glass available; those we chose were very good and a good value.
We sat outside, by the fountain, and the ambience was excellent, with heaters to maintain a good temperature. The food was fantastic - we ate the lamb, the steak, and a risotto. As dessert, creme brulée, lemon, and chocolate pies were all great. The waiter Marco, and the chef Fernando, who came to our table, were extremely kind and attentious.
