Really nice place! Food was excellent, service was adequate - nothing special and the place itself was nice. Outdoor seating on a nice days looks like it would be wonderful. We were inside.

Impeccable service from our arrival until we left. We were never rushed, always catered to and our waiter was exceptional. Filet mignon was perfect as was the lobster bisque soup. A true dining experience for anyone that wants to be pampered.

We arrived early for our noon reservation, and the restaurant was quiet. We were seated next to a window near the back patio. Our server was attentive, and the food was outstanding. We enjoyed the wedge salad and scallops with risotto, which was the day's special dish. It was fantastic. We were treated to a complimentary creme brulee since my husband needed a gluten-free option. We loved it. This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. We look forward to returning.

They took great care of us. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and charming. The food is not incredible. But the service was excellent and everything was enjoyable. It's a great place for an upscale dinner in the heart of town. Loved our experience. Tip: the banana fosters is made to order right next to you table, and it's quite a show!

We hosted our niece, her husband, and best friends for her birthday celebration dinner. SO glad we chose Anton & Michel! Everyone was gracious, attentive, and accommodating. We had the best indoor table for our group, which allowed our guests to enjoy the full view of the outdoor dining area. Everyone raved about their menu selections. I chose the mushroom soup starter, the duck, and the crème brûlée - everything was perfection! This is our preferred go-to restaurant for celebrations. Note - I indicated that the noise level was moderate. The 'noise' reflected the fact that everyone in the restaurant was chatting, laughing, and enjoying themselves. Truly an atmosphere of happy noise.

Nice, not too loud, perfect for conversations or just to enjoy a meal and some wine. Great ambiance.

I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a classy atmosphere with impressive, world-class cuisine! This restaurant is an ideal location for planning a romantic date, meeting for a business meal, or to simply enjoy a gourmet dish. Anton & Michel is worth every penny!

I love their Shrimp Club sandwich. Yesterday my husband had the risotto and also the soup of the day. Excellent service and ambiance. Special place. I like it more for lunch than for dinner, especially when I can sit outside around the pool/fountain.

We had a Valentine's dinner that was just OK, but not really a great value considering the price. My wife had a mushroom risotto starter that was very good, and turned out to be the best plate of food we had. My starter, a classic French Onion soup, was very watery tasting, with hardly any onion flavor, and definitely not something that had developed any layers of flavor. Don't know if it was due to the onions they were using, or if it just wasn't allowed to cook long enough, but it disappointed. My wife's main was the filet mignon with a cabernet reduction sauce, and while it was decent, she said it wasn't as tender as other filets she has had, and the sauce was so subtle to be somewhat bland tasting. I had the rack of lamb, which is supposedly Anton & Michel's specialty, and it was good, and cooked perfectly, but again the sauce served with it was really subtle and didn't add much to the dish. The service was fine, not outstanding, but not intrusive or inattentive either. The atmosphere is definitely old-school fine dining, with tables separated into small groups in different rooms, which keeps the ambiance more intimate and quieter. Given the multitude of other fine dining options in Carmel, it will probably be a long while until (or if) we return anytime soon. Total for the above, with a half-bottle of Pinot Noir, was $202 plus tax - so not a great value in my opinion.

Lunch menu is just okay. The bread before the meal was dry and crumbly, with butter so cold it was un-spreadable. We ordered the burger, steak sandwich, and seafood linguine. Bread/buns were dry and flavorless. The steak sandwich only had stack on half, with no flavor. The fries were greasy and cold. Overall, great service with extremely dated menu. Nice ambiance with a beautiful fountain and nice classical music.

Greeted and seated immediately after arriving. Had a cocktail first at our table and was offered bread and butter. Ordered starters and an entree to spilt. Starters were fabulous and the entree came plated for each of us rather than us both eat off one plate! Coffee and dessert finished our meal. Lemon tart with chantilly cream was Heaven! Beautiful finish to our last night in Carmel.

Appreciate the low and comfortable noise level which enables conversation. Also enjoy the decor, and light level, which can be low or bright depending on your mood and the occasion. Never disappoints??
