Bad experience, complete confusion, servers made several mistakes in the order, were very slow, they were out of the exact items their front of the store billboards advertised. Coffee was bad, service was terrible and place was dirty, and noisy. A complete waste of time and money! Addition: I said nothing about soup, it was the Croque Monsieur and Breakfast platter that we asked for and were told were definitely available, and then had to get part of our money refunded and go find another place to finish our meal.

The service at Café Carmel was excellent and impressively fast compared to most places. Both the breakfast sandwich and burrito were flavorful, and I especially loved the caramel macchiato. Definitely a great spot!

I used to love coming here when we visit Carmel. This time was a bust. They close at 5pm which is peak time for customers especially during this time of the year. When we finally were able to go early, the staff behind the counter were completely disinterested in providing good customer service and the lattes were average. Plus side was the cannoli was good. We ended up spending most of our money at Carmel bakery which has great bakery options, coffee, and gelato.
