Best bakery and light bites in town. Everything fresh. Ice cream is served here as well. The place us always clean and welcoming. Go where the locals go! Enjoy!Kid-friendliness: Room for a few strollers. Front table facing Ocean Ave Best for families.Wheelchair accessibility: Saw a person in a wheel chair during my visit to the bakery. Made it through frontdoor and the only aisle in bakery.

Recommended dishes: Bakery, Avocado Toast, Salad, Breakfast Sandwich, Breakfast Burrito

Great place to rest your feet with a scoop of ice cream (sorbet or sherbet too) or great latte (Illy coffee - ask for coffee cup).Kid-friendliness: Kid serving size ice cream, access to high chairs, changing table in the unisex restroom

Got a tuna sandwich and my girlfriend got a smoked salmon sandwich- both were over priced and not very good. Low quality ingredients. Pastries might be better, did not try them. No complaints service or atmosphere wise.

Bagel & lox $19 was bad, The bagel had been prepared the day before, the cream cheese was dry, and Lox not fresh.Cappuccino and chai latte were not very large

I would not recommend anyone to buy their coffee - if you like warm milk with almost no coffee, then this coffee shop is for you. They are obviously not making their coffee properly, ...took two sips and dumped it. However, it's a nice location.

This was my first time ordering a cake from Cafe Carmel. My son wanted a carrot cake for his birthday. I worked with Sarah, who is really wonderful, and got exactly what my son wanted. The cake was gorgeous and so incredibly yummy. I would definitely order again. Highly recommend!!

Was in the mood for lox and bagel brunch. Well, that's what you literally get with this dish. This is NOT the item that's pictured in their window. There was an excessive pile of salmon on a barely toasted bagel with a paper thin spread of cream cheese, 3 thin slices of Persian cucumber, a bare sprinkling of chopped onion and bare sprinkling of chives. I would have gladly forgone the excessive amount of salmon for a more traditional lox and bagel dish - tomato slices, dill, more cucumber and some capers. Very unsatisfying.

Perfect little Cafe serving pastries and more. We enjoyed the breakfast sandwich and ham/asparagus quiche. I purchased 2 tiny handmade oil paintings from amongst the cute chachki as a souvenir. The kid who took our order was adorable.

We come here every time we visit Carmel by-the-sea. They didn't have the silk chocolate pie and strata this time but the Christmas cookies were delicious!! The ham and asparagus quiche was very tasty too!

The attention of the employees was very unpleasant, and they did not have the ingredients for French toast, but the blessed eggs were delicious. I tipped the cook who was kind.

Disappointing. Surly service and over-priced pastries. My one and only visit. Not at all the experience I was expecting after reading this cafe's website.

Best place to go for a sweet treat after a day of shopping around the plaza. Beautiful mural inside. The display cases are always so appetizing. I recommend the the tiramisu, grinch cupcakes, and the raspberry sorbet.

It's a small local coffee shop with lots to offer! Coffee, treat, ice-cream and plenty of nibbles. There is plenty of inside seating. Also if you have a group or four there is a nice table to accommodate a small group.

I've randomly dropped by this place a couple of times. The latte I tried was decent, and another time, I went for a smoothie—although a bit too sweet, it was still tolerable. The best part is the availability of seats, allowing you to take a short break while strolling around the town. It's a nice spot for a casual visit and a quick refreshment.
