Most expensive Ice Cream I've ever had. 3 ice creams and an Affogato for $45.00 US! Thats insane. Ice cream was okay but definitely not worth the price.

I was very disappointed when returning to this café as I went a few years ago and it was so good!! Back then, a very nice young lady owned it and worked at the counter. I guess she must’ve sold it…the new people did not seem very friendly. I noticed they were telling other guests that they built the place from the ground up. This seemed sketchy to me as when I last went, I had spoken with locals dining in the shop who all said she owned it, and they had watched her design the whole café in the months prior. I stayed in the Monterey area for 2 weeks back then and every time I went there, she was working the café and handling the whole business…Now I’m quite confused! During my most recent visit, the newer owners were snotty to other guests and acted stuck up when taking my order. I got a coffee and a piece of cake which tasted stale. Was planning to wash it down with my coffee, but that tasted burnt. Sad to say I will not be returning…unless they bring back the old crew! HA!
