Everything we ordered tasted really good, quality was also nice.I want to give 1 star for the service. They took 1 hour and 15 minutes to bring our order, we had been waiting for soooooo long. They made up for the mistake for offering free desserts so that's fine.

Favorite restaurant in all of Carmel. The ambiance feels like a Roman restaurant in Trastevere. The food is just as delicious too and plenty of wine options! I recommend the octopus and pasta allá carbonara. The quality of the guanciale adds to the texture and flavor of the dish. A must visit if you’re in Carmel.

We had the salumi plate with house made salumi it was very good. We also shared the tricolor salad it was fantastic .Rib eye steak which is the specialty of the house and it was excellent.

We shared a plate of finocchiana, the carbonara and the lamb with a spinach side. All superior quality. Very pleased. Surprisingly long waits between courses given how few customers were on site. Will still be glad to return on our next visit to Carmel.

All I can really say was I showed up hungry and left hungry. I had a 7:30pm reservation and finally received my dinner by 8:52pm. I was done with my miniscule dinner by 8:57 pm. I spent money on 2 appetizers, a bottle of red wine, the rosemary chicken and the lobster pasta, the total was $175 and left a $25 tip. This is the 2nd time coming to this location and thought the first time was not up to par and left with the same feeling on the 2nd trip.

The food was delicious, but the billing portion was horrible. We had to have our bill corrected because of items we did not order were added to it. And when we got home we found another incorrect charge. The automatic BOH (Back of the House) added fee should be absorbed by the restaurant and Not the customer! It was not mentioned on OpenTable.

The service was horrible!! Our  server was totally disengage from us throughout the entire meal, and never made any eye contact. It took 25 mins to get our drinks and 90 mins to get our meals.

Service was very good, nice ambience. In the end, some real misses on the entrees, and some silly efforts on part of the restaurant on the financial side. This is Carmel, I am not looking for bargains. But, the octopus entry had three very small pieces of actual octopus, and they charged for olive oil to go along with the Ciabatta and Breadsticks that were ordered a la carte (the bread was excellent). Also, a 4% Back of House fee the was included without explanation. Happy to pay more for a restaurant experience that feels as if it has a soul, and is more consistent.
