Visiting a friend in the beautiful and friendly town of Carmel Valley we stopped here after getting treats from Sweet Reba's. All three of us were excited to get coffee and excited to see a beautiful pastry display. We were met with the rudest young lady at cash register (Monica). I've seriously never witnessed such poor customer service. When we asked about the matcha options, she was dismissive, condescending, impatient and would not look at us. We did order (almost left) and the coffee &matchas were great. The customer service was sadly horrible!
Bought a banana. It was bad. The nice gal had me pick another pine. It was also bad. I guess the manager came over and told me I could not keep picking more. They were bad!!!
Left the banana and walked out. Very very bad public relations. First of all
Lovely coffee, freshly made & nice pleasent staff.
Very good coffee, tasty scones. Definitely would recommend it.

Great place to meet and chat with friends.
Really beautiful place to sit in the sun and enjoy a great coffee and some breakfast. I had a blueberry scone which was delicious and a cold latte which was great. The girl smiled and was very good in her customer service.
Great Coffee. Great bakery items. Great outdoor seating. A+
This was far and away the best coffee we had in Carmel. Two of us both enjoyed cafe lattes and sat outside.

Convenient nearby but frankly it's not very good, some items have no taste or are too dry, and it's extremely expensive. Average service in addition, and in addition counter service and a tip of 15 to 25% is requested, which invites me to advise you against this place.

I got Bee Sting - the honey lavender latte from here. It is smooth and flavorful. I usually doesn't like iced latte since the flavor dilutes as the ice melts. However, the coffee is flavored so well that it is good throughout my drinking experience. The staff is very nice and the location is great. You can sit down and relax in this nice shopping complex. Would love to try other special drinks again.

Had thier special offer the deep roasted coffee which was a delight to have. The serene ambience and the easy way of life was a great attraction at this town. Thanks for the lady who suggested to have that coffee. Capachino and hot chocolate were too, good.

The coffee here at Carmel Valley Coffee was great, I came here with my mom. She ordered a white mocha with the flavor of toasted marshmallow (Fireside Bevvy) and described it to be smooth and not bitter, with just the right amount of sweetness. I ordered a latte with the flavor of honey and lavender and added vanilla cold foam, being rich in flavor and with a nice subtle hint of lavender. We also got the cinnamon roll which was a bit disappointing as it was kind of dry and wasn't anything special, though it was very pretty and appealing. I will be coming back next time I return to the area!
