Everything was delicious. Very good one selections by the half bottles and glass too. Quaint seating set up with tables close to each other in a converted Carmel home becomes restaurant. Charming inside.

We have been going here for our anniversary dinner for 42 years. It's where we had our wedding dinner. It's need great each and every time. We will keep going back for as long as we can. šŸ‘

Over priced. Pecan pie was terrible. Service is good but they seem to be resting on their laurels. Food was just okay for outrageous pricing.

Our server, older gentlemen Caucasian man with white goatee and glasses was not kind. He tried to sell us on food and wine and when we declined something he had a lot of attitude. When I declined the ā€œbread serviceā€ he was obviously not pleased with our decision. Our meal was ehh. Mid. There's many other WAY better spots in the area. La Bicyclette has much better meat and better flavor, So does Demetra. The food here is really mid. Nothing special. The steak au pauvre was not with the cream sauce. The rib eye was super thin, quality of meat here is not good. However, the prices are wayyyyyto high considering what they serve.

Unreal. The service was impeccable and the food was divine. Would've ate everything on the menu if we could.

I sat in the courtyard and it was absolutely beautiful. I had the cannelloni which was delicious and high quality. The service was some of the best I've ever had. Everyone was extremely kind, attentive, and informed about the menu/wine list. This is a must stop if you are in the area (and worth a detour if you aren't)!!!!

I love a night out at Casanova! I arrived early and the hostess (I think her name was Marina) welcomes me with such warmth and kindness! She happily accommodated us and made sure we had the best time. She recommended the rice pudding for dessert, just another reason to love her, delish!!

Marina greeted us with her bright smile and hospitality! The food and drink were excellent! 5 stars!

Great experience as usual. Only negative was a non-dog friendly hostess who ask if our dog was ok with other dogs, as there was already ā€œoneā€ dog on the patio. We have been here many times, not for a few years, but the patio has been all about dogs. We did fine with our older calm Aussie, the other dog was a young hyper untrained dog that wouldn't have passed the hostesses' test. Other than this person, all else was wonderful.

Get the bread because you will want to soak up every bit of sauce. We dine here every year when we visit Carmel and it never disappoints. This time we shared the lobster bisque, oysters, moules and frites, and the seafood linguine. So delicious! We sat on the front patio and it was very comfortable with the heater. Our dog enjoyed it as well.

We have been coming to Casanova for over 30 years and it unfortunately gets worse every year. The cost of the food is getting ridiculous- bread service ( 3 slices of bread), is $25.00. A small side salad is $24.00 and The menu is very limited for expensive main courses. The service was the worst, rude, rushed us through the dinner - In and out in an hour ($300.00.), and we didn't even order much. Please take customer feedback seriously and gain back your most loyal repeat customers.

✨ A Night to Remember at Casanova ✨ From the moment I stepped into Casanova, I felt wrapped in warmth, care, and culinary magic. The staff was not only professional and attentive—they were genuinely kind, creating an atmosphere that felt both elegant and deeply personal. The food? Unforgettable. The lamb with sorrels was tender and perfectly seasoned, a dish that lingered in memory long after the last bite. And the burnt cheesecake with strawberries—heavenly. Paired with a rich red blend wine, every course was a celebration of flavor and artistry. But what truly set the evening apart was the unexpected and deeply moving gesture: the team honored me as a cancer survivor. It was a surprise that brought tears to my eyes and joy to my heart. In a world that often rushes past, Casanova paused to celebrate life—and made my New Year's Eve not just special, but sacred. If you're looking for more than just a meal—if you want to be seen, celebrated, and nourished in every sense—Casanova is the place. I'll never forget it.

We came for our 35th anniversary. It was good. Be prepared to wait for your food to arrive. The restaurant is charming, and the staff is friendly. I had the cannelloni which was very good. We also had the bread service and it was very good. My husband had the lamb which was tender, but fatty. We really liked the burned cheesecake. It was delicious. This is where you come for a special occasion. It's pricey for every day dining.

Casonova has become a regular dinner spot when visiting Carmel. The atmosphere is quite lovely especially if seated in the room with the tree. You are inside while it feels as though you are outside with the tree extending over you. The staff professional and eager to serve you. We have enjoyed their gnocchi casanova, Calamari a la Plancha, cannelloni and Dover Sole during every visit. Their dessert menu changes but we have also enjoyed several of their sweet treats during each visit. The rice pudding with hazelnuts being one of our favorites. Be sure to make a reservation as Casanova is known for its delicious cuisine and service so you don't want to miss out on a table for dinner.
