Quality of my meal was terrible. My first course was supposed to be sushi grade tuna and halibut with capers and oil. It was a plate of low quality salmon soaked in oil and probably 75 capers. My second dish was a corn risotto . It tasted like cream of corn out of a can. I returned both dishes and will never return ! What a shame ! It used to be great many years ago. And I don't like the idea of charging bread. Especially $12 !!! If they did that in NJ or NYC everyone would walk out.

I always make sure to put Casanova on my list of restaurants whenever I come into town. And I'm coming all the way from Seattle so that's saying a bit. The brown butter soul is the best on the planet and I travel on average two weeks out of every month all around the world, so again that's saying a lot. I strongly recommend it here

I am never disappointed when I come back to this restaurant. The ambiance, the staff, and not to mention the food is always amazing! Being a chef, I can appreciate the attention to detail, the staff helping with menu choices as well as wine pairings. This is easily one of my top 3 restaurants in the entire world and we will continue to come back.

We were greeted with a complementary glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. What a nice touch! The ambiance is cozy and warm and the food is outstanding. We have dined there before and it never fails to impress us. We love it! It's a treat.

Incredible staff. From bread to burrata, and gnocchi to cheesecake this was top to bottom a wonderful experience. Vibes are relaxed but not sloppy. Dress as nice as you want but be comfortable. Cheers!

I haven't been there, my husband and I went 20 years ago and loved it. He passed away from very suddenly from brain cancer over 10 years ago. I loved walking thru Carmel and having dinner at Casanovas again, brought back such beautiful memories

We loved every dish, but our favorite was the beef cannelloni. For dessert we had the rice pudding and chocolate mousse which we couldn't stop talking about walking back to our hotel.

My husband and I came here in 2012 for our one year of dating anniversary. We have made it to 10 years of marriage and went last night to celebrate! It was a great recreation ♥️ our server took our app and drink order then it took him a while to get our entree order but we kinda liked the pace as it ensured we weren't eating too fast and allowed food to settle. The Dover sole is an experience that should be enjoyed by all! My short rib cannelloni was amazing as well!

We have been to Cassanova a few times and loves its ambiance. They are lots of cozy areas to sit in and this time they put us in a small space with just two tables, very romantic and we loved it. It has a rustic Italian feeling that we can never get enough of. The food was fine, the menu not really full Italian and lots of great starters (the Crudo was amazing). All the Food is pricey, even by Carmel Standards but the Wine Pours were generous and well priced!
