Awesome ambiance and the staff were incredible. Sommelier Andy was very knowledgeable, and they made my girlfriend’s birthday incredibly special. Food left a little to be desired though.
Hostess was a tad snobby when we were 8 minutes late to our reservation but other than that, absolute recommend for food and environment!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary here and we had a marvelous time. The food was superb and the wine list is incredible. The ambiance is cozy and relaxed, but lively and fun. The highlight of the evening was the service, however. Our server made the evening truly memorable--very engaging, helpful, patient, not to mention hilarious! The table was guaranteed for two hours but we were there for almost four! We couldn't recommend a better place in Carmel to enjoy a fabulous meal.
Wasn't what we were hoping for. When we got into town we were recommended against it by our hotel's receptionist, but would have been out $50 if we cancelled the reservation. Would have rather eaten the $50.

We haven't been to Casanova in awhile. We were disappointed when they stopped serving their Tapenade and country bread-but it's back!!! We had the Dover Sole w/ potatoes. Superb! And the NY Steak au povoire with chanterelle mushrooms-perfection! Our waiter was wonderful. We enjoy being back!

We had an absolutely fantastic meal and evening dining experience at Casanova! The Dover sole was beyond good - best i have ever tasted. Everything was great and the restaurant itself is cozy and inviting.

Amazing! Vegan friendly ?? their menu says they “politely decline modifications” so I called before going to a group dinner and asked about vegan options, and they were very non-judgementally accommodating on the phone & at dinner. They gave a few (a few apps & 1 main) on-menu options that could be modified to be vegan, as well as an off-menu pasta option. The mushroom risotto made vegan was delicious! Great food, great ambiance, service. ?

We've come to Casanova over the years and just loved it. It was disappointing this time; the escargot was lacking flavor and the chicken I had was very dry. Just wasn't what it used to be and certainly overpriced for the food we received. Service was good and the ambiance is still there. Sadly, we likely will not be back.

This restaurant is leaning hard on past reputation and a good location. If you LOVE home made pasta and exceptional flavors, this is not your place. Boxed pasta, overcooked scallops and no originality. Our server was really nice and the old home is charming. The owner owns a winery. His wines are much more affordable than other California wines, so we ordered them, but they were not very good. This restaurant reds a complete facelift and menu update.

All around great experience! The restaurant is cozy and romantic, especially in the courtyard. The gnochhi was indulgent and delicious. An unexpected surprise was how amazing the fresh greens salad was. I rarely leave a dinner thinking about the starter salad but I did this time because it was so good.
