We had dinner for 4. Quick and friendly service, outstanding food, nice casual place. Definitely on our “go back to” list of Carmel restaurants. Lou M.
Went for my dads birthday per his request he wanted seafood. Using the Opentable app I saw this location offered the most variety. The appetizer were better tasting than the actual dishes themselves. The sand dabs lacked flavor, the best dish was a crab sandwich that my guest ordered. Staff was meh, no introduction, did not inform us of drinks nor specials, just what can I get you. Place is small, only a few tables and they are very close together. Cool place for a first time visit. Would not return.
Our son ordered clam chowder and carb cakes which he enjoyed. I had the European Prawns and risotto. The prawns were fine but the risotto was.....so so. My husband had the Paella. It's did not have the classic “crust” at the bottom and lacked flavor of classic paella. Service was good, disappointed with some of the quality for the price.
The oysters on the half shell were excellent. Fried oysters okay. Lobster bisque was awful. Our server was great and comped us on the soup.
Had a lovely evening here. There is a great buzzy atmosphere. Swordfish and scallops were delicious 😋
Flaherty's offers an extensive seafood menu, high quality, unpretentious with portions often enough to take home; what more can one ask for?
Water served warm in cup without ice, service is slow and ignorant. Food quality matches the service they provide.

We had the cioppino and lobster gnocchi! We were very satisfied the flavors were great service was awesome. We would definitely come back.
We reserved on open table and noted we would have a dog. The table they sat us at was outside, which we totally expected, but it was right on the street and the chairs were kind of penned in by some bricking. It was a tight spot and not comfortable to sit. I totally understand that they don't cater to dogs, but when I called to double check they had dog seating, it would have been great to be made aware. My dad and I both got the cioppino, which had a ton of very rubbery calamari in it. The flavor of the broth wasn't good. Instead of garlic bread, it came with a side of pasta - which was served ice cold. My husband got the lobster gnocchi which didn't have a great texture or flavor. My mom got the fish & chips, which was the best of the dishes. She upgraded to halibut for an additional cost. For the cost, it only came with 2 small pieces of fish which was a bummer. We got 2 bottles of wine and were disappointed with the food for a $400 dinner. Our server was lovely though.

This place was not what I was expecting based on the Yelp reviews and photos.
We ordered clam chowder and it didn't taste like clam chowder. It reminded me more of an oatmeal. The food was decent. I got the coconut shrimp and he got pasta. Service was horrible. We got bread and butter at the same time we got our dishes. Our server only checked up on us twice. We didn't get refills and it took a while to get the check and to go boxes. I won't be returning.
