Had such a great time at a wine tasting /cooking class with Chef Justin. He is amazing with some of the simplest ingredients. We made flat bread Great ambiance, fun, great wine selection. Highly recommend!!!!

Pizza & wine, must I say more. Great place to relax and enjoy live music. Definitely a hidden gem in Caramel. Folktale the child white wine is a must, it is refreshing and with a light crisp taste. Small parking lot. Reservations highly recommended. The staff is welcoming and attentive. Amazing experience overall.

GORGEOUS winery and barrel room. I was very impressed, and the wine was SO GOOD. It’s a beautiful place, beautiful grounds. And very knowledgeable staff. I loved it, and would definitely come back.

Located in sunny Carmel Valley Folktale Winery is a perfect place to spend an afternoon with friends and family. Lots of outdoor space for kids to play. The Sparkling Rose is elegant and crisp with hints of kiwi, watermelon and cherry. The outdoor space has comfortable seating with umbrellas in their wine garden. Our favorites are the flatbreads and the Cheese and Charcuterie Plate.

Highly recommend the Folktale tasting tour! Our tour guide was so kind and knowledgeable. It was $45 per person. The area was so beautiful.

Many years ago I came here and we tried wine without a problem. The place was beautiful, the staff was friendly. Recently, past few years, the service is bad and the atmosphere is pretentious. You're treated like a peasant. They don't want regular people coming here. They want rich people here only. I am more than happy to spend my money when I'm treated well, but I've now been treated so poorly here about 4 times. I joined the wine membership even tho I live a few hours away. Every time I came here they made an excuse to not give me my free tasting that comes with the membership. I've since canceled, no apology for the treatment by the way. I came here for brunch and a tasting. But we were told that during brunch we were not allowed to taste wine. Yet there were plenty of other tables receiving wine tastings. I then told the waiter at the end of our time there that I was a member. Then he seemed embarrassed for having been so rude to me. You should be nice to people even if they're not members tho. Anyways, I never got a tasting even while part of the membership. The staff is very rude. All of them. The same day I was there eating brunch, some friendly ladies stopped by to ask for a wine tasting. They were turned away and also spoken to rudely. They said they'd never been treated that way. I pointed them in the direction of a much kinder winery. Hire some nicer people. And give members their free tasting when they ask for it! Wasted all that money on a membership I never got to use. And also, update your website if you're going to randomly close for an event during normal business hours. Waste of a long drive for people who don't know you're going to turn them away. Which has happened to me twice now.

Heavenly experience! Wine- the sparkling rose is to die for! Our food was out of this world. the ground are breathtaking! I was in town for Big Sur Marathon and this place was amazing.

Food, service and views fantastic. I had a reservation as soon as they opened at 10 on a Sunday. Seated quickly and staff was great upon arrival from hostess to waiting staff. Knowledgeable and friendly. Hats off to the chef, food was super good. We had a flatbread and a salmon entree. Creative dishes and Flavor was there . Very dog friendly as there were many who brought their dogs. They were not overly crowded but I assume it would be busier in evening when lights are lit and grounds are illuminating. Definitely would be back not only for the wine but the FOOD!! I can not say enough how good the food was.
