Went into From Scratch with high expectations, and they were absolutely exceeded. Gotta get the “Triple D Sampler” but everything truly is excellent. You can tell the owners and staff put their heart into it. One of the best breakfast spots I’ve been to.

If you are in this area and you have not tried this place you are missing out greatly! If I could eat here every breakfast I would! My wife and i love the biscuits and gravy or the chili! The coffee is even great! Cant wait to visit again!

You will not find a better breakfast/lunch place then this restaurant (it was featured in Guy Fieri's Diners Drive-In's and Dives show). The portions are massive across the board (including salad's). Every dish at our table was done very well (potatoes cooked perfectly and evenly, eggs Benedict with just the right amount of hollandaise sauce, etc...) The menu has a lot offer in terms of variety. I had a tuna melt with a cup of chili - delicious. What this place calls a cup is more like a bowl. The chili came chunks of soft beef which was a nice touch - I expected ground beef! The tuna melt was solid!

This place gets packed so you have to get there early or plan on waiting for table - either way its worth it. The atmosphere is what you expect from a popular breakfast/lunch place - nothing more, nothing less. None of us tried the mimosa's or Bloody Mary's so can't comment).

Of all the breakfast restaurants I have eaten at, From Scratch is one of the best. The food was amazing, the service was great, and the atmosphere is quant and comfortable. If you are in the Carmel area and would like breakfast, I highly recommend From Scratch!

Vegetarian options: They had several vegetarian options available. The vegetarian sausage looked and tasted like genuine sausage. Delicious!
