It was a good experience. This location specialized in Bordeaux wines. 5 wines for $35. Presentation and descriptions were good, informative, nice build up to each tasting. The shop was cozy and inviting with a wild west kind of feeling.

We've been going to Galante Vineyards Tasting Room for as long as I can remember, 2009 I believe, when my wife and I barely started dating. It is a must-stop for us every time we set foot in the beautiful seaside town of Carmel. It has a special place in our heart because it is the tasting room that graduated us from cocktails and got us seriously into wine drinking so many moons ago. We drank a lot of wine during our dating years, mostly grocery store wines (Cupcake gives us fond memories, lol) and a glass here or there at restaurants, but we had no idea about the art or science behind winemaking and tasting. Galante Vineyards produces bold red wine, with occasional chardonnay and sauvignon blanc offerings. So if you love bold reds or bold red blends, then you owe yourself a visit to Galante Vinyeards Tasting Room! Our personal favorites are their Legacy (now a red blend I believe), Black Jack Pasture and Red Rose Hill cabernet sauvignon. We met many pourers throughout the course of a decade, all knowledgeable, personable and the patrons there are always a hoot and a holler! Janet signed us up for the Trail Boss wine club membership back in January of 2021 and we've stayed as members ever since. The tasting area is dog and kid friendly, as long as you keep your eyes on them. Our dogs always enjoy the outdoor area, because they get so much attention from Janet and nearby patrons! Too bad we can't just drive up the coast from L.A. and visit the tasting room these days since we recently moved to Texas. But we still enjoy our wine club shipments from Galante twice a year. We hope to visit y'all again soon! Maybe sooner than we think!

The wines at Galante were amazing! The bold reds really stood out and we ended up tasting the library flight. Each wine had a unique flavor profile that exceeded expectations. Jimmy was a fantastic server. He provided great information about each pour and made our wine tasting experience wonderful. I can't wait to visit again!

It was rainy this weekend in Carmel and we were thinking it'd be easy to get in to places for a quick wine tasting. Boy we were wrong and almost everywhere seemed to be reservation only even though they said walk ins welcome! But because of that we were able to stumble across Galante which was tucked in a little off the street. Truly a blessing in disguise! I'm still dreaming about the 2021 Legacy Red Blend. It is undoubtedly my favorite red I have ever had. I can't thank Jack enough who said you have got to try this! We were on our last tasting and majority of the group was going for the dessert wine or a cab but Jack swept us off our feet by suggesting the Legacy and then said he would pour us whatever we wanted after to finish off. Jack truly has so much love and passion for his craft and he definitely made me a fan! Needless to say I left with a bottle of the Legacy and can't wait to try the rest of the wine offerings when I visit Carmel again. P.S. Their wine aerators were such a nice touch! It made the pours so fun!

Nestled down an alleyway, the Galante Tasting Room is a hallmark of Carmel's rich history. Galante has roots tied to the town's founder and make wine that reflects it. Service was attentive and friendly.. clearly explaining the history behind each wine and their characteristics. My tasting ($35) included: 1. 2022 Wagon Wheel White Sauvignon Blanc 2. 2021 Almond Flat Pinot Noir 3. 2021 Red Rose Hill Cabernet 4. 2021 Legacy Red Blend 5. 2021 Blackjack Pasture Cabernet I wouldn't say this is a "take my money" situation but it's damn near close. I managed to restrain myself to only a bottle as opposed to a case! Yummy Certified!

I was going there for a wine tasting with some work colleagues, when you go to a wine tasting you expect to have a nice refined experience… but it was inconceivable for us that we asked for the snacks to get with the wine, and we got a salami box from the supermarket… directly in the plastic…

Small tasting room off main streets (follow the alley to Galante). Lots of big, bold reds is what they are known for. The service is friendly. The decor is Western and they are one of the first wine tasting rooms in the area. Lots of history. A good place for reds and something more unique (vs standard wine tasting rooms)

We go to this little urban winery every time we visit to Carmel-By-The-Sea. The Bordeaux-style blends are the best.

This was a really cool find. We were walking down the main road and found a cute, majestic alley that led us to this tasting room. The people who run the show here were super friendly and accommodated our party of five for a tasting. They even catered to our preferred flavor profiles when it came to red vs. white wines. It was really great to experience local wines. I found their Chardonnay to be delicious, along with a red which was an ode to Big Little Lies. We tasted five different wines for $30, a steal!! Definitely give this place a try.

Fabulous wines. We were really surprised as they are head and shoulders above all the other eu es we tasted in Carmel. Toby was wonderful (tasting room in Carmel) and we enjoyed the entire tasting experience. Highly recommend. Don't miss this gem.

Cute little winery tucked away in the heart of Carmel. Was a little difficult to find coming in off the street, but just keeping going and following the signs. Love the atmosphere of the trees and the outdoor seating area. The staff were wonderful and we chatted about the different wines even after closing. Took a bottle of the 2019 Big Little Wine home, it was my favorite.
