What an experience from being met, after running through puddles, at door to a quaint sit by fire, we could not have asked for a better way to end a long weekend in Carmel. Dinner started with a suggested Cesar Salad which was served family style. Both entrees (filet and New York) were cooked exactly as requested. Au gratin potatoes could have rivaled those served at Harris in SF. Strongly recommend when looking for excellent service - servers work as a team and seem to monitor what is happening and who might need something regardless of it being their table - an atmosphere that meets or exceeds expectations and food cooked and presented better than expected.

Our overall experience was good. We ordered our food which both of us ordered steaks. My daughter ordered ribeye I ordered sirloin strip. The food came out. We began to eat and everything was good and then our waiter came and said he made a mistake, which both my daughter and I had already taken bites out of our steaks. He proceeded to take the plate from me, which was a filet mignon and then moved her plate over to me, which was supposedly my Sirloin Strip after she had taken bites out of it already as well! He then presented her the Ribeye Steak. We both thought this was very odd and unprofessional. That was the only odd or weird thing about our visit, and I feel it would have been better to offer to Comp the mistake (mistreak)! lol. Otherwise it was a wonderful experience as usual, this was my second time there..

We had a wonderful lunch on the patio. Brian, our server was exceptional! We had out of town guests that thoroughly enjoyed seeing the refurbished restaurant. The menu is so diverse, we all had delicious sandwiches.

The ambience, service, and salads were excellent. Servers were friendly and efficient. The mascarpone cheesecake was on the dry and bland side, but everything else was fine.

The meal was good with one minor glitch with one item they had to go back and make again. The ambiance is fantastic, very fun and rustic feeling. The bar is a must visit for anyone visiting Carmel. It's very cool What detracted from the visit was the service could have been better. It wasn't bad, just wasn't good either.

Such a nice date night! Great food and service and love their remodel. We had the scalloped potatoes which were heavenly and then french onion soup to start- such a classic! Then we both had pasta dishes stroganoff and alfredo- both were so good! We shall be back (:

Our first visit here and we loved it! The atmosphere, food and ambiance were top notch, service was excellent too. The manager came by to check on us which was a nice touch. Ribs and Burger both 5 Star!

My husband had come here in the late 70s and said that he hoped the food had gotten better because the only thing to recommend the place was the Clint Eastwood memorabilia. I am happy to report that this is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The food was amazing and the service was outstanding. The waitstaff worked as a team … beginning with the gracious welcome of the lady at the reception counter (I’m sorry I did not get the name, but she was amazing) to our server Hector, and the rest of the team who made sure that we had everything we needed, including our beverages topped off and bringing us a to go box. Hubby had Sandabs with a cream sauce and capers, we shared Szechuan chicken lettuce wraps, I had the gnocchi with mushrooms and we had a lovely gelato for dessert. Food was delicious and top notch and I loved the bread that was available as well. We will certainly be coming back. The Clint Eastwood decor was a lot of fun and added to the ambience.

Great ambience in the courtyard and the dining rooms are cozy. I was a bit annoyed by the broad base of the table support which prevented me from putting my feet together under my knees. As I was wearing a skirt, it felt a bit awkward. Food is good not great. Super yummy chipotle BBq sauce with onion rings. Tomatoes a bit under ripe in caprese salad. Sauces are heavy and filling on pastas. The complimentary cheesecake was truly average as if from box grocery store with artificial tasting strawberry sauce. Personally not worth repeating

Food and service was great as I last remembered before the remodel. Pricing has gone up which I think was a bit much. Might not come back as often knowing the costs have gone up a lot and there are many excellent restaurants around too but overall was very happy with food and service
