You think you're useless?! This business knew TWO MONTHS in advance that they'll be closed the day after Labor Day and nobody bothered to close the store on Google Maps, Yelp & TGTG.
They did put a small sign on the door which doesn't help me because I'm almost blind.

Lovely French Bakery. Missed all the French patisseries from Europe living in the US. Found all of them at one beautiful spot at Carmel. Thank you Lafayette Bakery!
Sooo good!!
Quaint bakery with great food… the great coffee was a pleasant additional surprise! Parking is easy, huge lot nearby. The ambience is quiet; there is a seating area out back that feels like a private garden.
Truly the nicest staff - all the treats were equally delicious!

Cute french bakery in the baryard shopping center in Carmel. I suggest coming in when it opens for a larger selection of baked goods. The quiche was super good. The staff was super nice as well!!!

Best little bakery, very reasonable prices for the quality of the baked goods (which are amazing—the mini sandwiches and patties are just perfect). An essential stop.
