The rudest service I have ever received at a business. They did not take names for orders, which made things chaotic for the throng of customers waiting to pick up their coffee orders. My 80-year-old father, who is hard of hearing, mistakenly grabbed someone else’s coffee. The owner nastily scolded my father “NO, NOT FOR YOU!” Unbelievable.

The guava pastry is our favorite here! Others are good too but nothing beats the guava pastry ?

Very disappointed. Olive bread does not taste olive at all, but only taste like a mid quality bread from supermarket.

Was so good, went by twice while in Carmel for a wedding. Saturday. got there by 9am, display cases appeared fully stocked of everything. Sunday, got there by 10am, a few items were sold out. We got what we wanted, but still! The mocha actually had a rich chocolate flavor (compared to bucks) Love how they carry mini pastries which are the perfect size to share and taste and try variety!!!! Well priced, cheaper than SF.

This place is an absolute gem. Incredible French pastries plus coffee/espresso drinks to pair. I had a napoleon (to die for) and hubby had a butter croissant (good) and a ham/cheese/egg sandwich (really delicious). We got there at 1pm and you could tell the place was almost sold out earlier in the day. We'll be back earlier to see what other treats they have! If we lived close I'd weigh 600 lbs.

This place is cute! The employee taking our order was very nice. Unfortunately they were sold out of almond croissants, *cries* but the pastries we did get were very good! The chocolate gaga has custard and chocolate chips inside. Not overly sweet but definitely tasty. The mini croissant was awesome! Flaky and light yet buttery and delicious.

We were in Carmel at the end of Nov-beginning of Dec and we really enjoyed coming to the bakery for our morning breakfast. The food was delicious, service was great and so was the atmosphere. However on my last day on my way out of Carmel Dec 2 I stopped into pick up a few things to go. Only after reaching our next destination on our way home to Canada I noticed I was overcharged by accident I understand. I was charged $15 US for a Brioche that’s $4.75. I have left multiple messages since Dec and even spoke to a person working there Elizabeth (Dec 7) who assured me the manager would call me back to rectify the refund. And I have never heard from anyone. It’s a matter of principle at this point and I just feel very disappointed that the owner/manager has not bothered to return my call.

The mini sandwiches and the savory pastries we picked up as breakfast are so delicious, so as the fruit topped sweet brioche. Only issue is I can't buy them all! The building is whimsical and almost magical when we arrived at the crack of dawn, right when they first opened. Service was excellent as well, the staff who helped us was very friendly!

The set up is annoying because you can't see all the baked goods until it's your turn to order so you wait longer and feel rushed. It's not efficiently set up. The ladies working there are nice. We got the almond croissants. They were slightly burned on the ends but overall delicious. The filling was really good.

No place to sit. Mediocre pastries and drinks. True French bakery would never limit their customers to paper cups and plates. Not coming back.

Finally, a good cappuccino. And yes, the quiche is amazing. But what really makes it taste good is the kindness of the service.
