This was the last Carmel winery we stopped by on our first day trip to the area. So glad we came in as this was by far our favorite of the 3.We are mainly red wine drinkers so we tried the Pinot Noir, Zinfandel and Bordeaux Blend. All 3 were very good. We were very pleasantly surpised by the Pinot and Zinfandel as these 2 wines don't usually hit our palates. Manzoni's were very smooth and drinkable, with lots of sweet fruit and silky tannins. We found it hard to choose between the Bordeaux Blend and the Zinfandel but ended up going home with a bottle of the Zin.The woman that took care of us was very friendly and even gave us a sight-seeing tip of driving down Ocean Avenue and making a left to look at the spectacular views of the ocean and all the insane ocean-front homes in the area. Very cool.

This was our third time visiting this tasting room, and we loved it so much we added in a membership. The space is very comfortable yet roomy enough not to feel crowded, the wines are great, and the staff is attentive while still giving you space to enjoy your tasting.
We had a lovely time at a wine tasting at Manzoni! Excellent wine in a lovely atmosphere, and the woman who was helping us was extremely gracious and kind and informative. We will definitely go back!

Definitely had a wonderful experience here and the environment was warm and welcoming. The price point for the bottles here is reasonable and not overboard and each we tasted was great. We loved the Sauvignon blanc and cuvée provided an interesting yet flavorful profile. Softer Syrah then I usually prefer but easy to enjoy.

Solidly good...not amazing. We did their standard wine tasting and the first two were okay, but nothing you can't buy at the store. The reds were all very pleasant and smooth but nothing stood out to us as amazing. Unfortunately we forgot to ask to share a tasting so we spent $40 on an okay tasting. I would have rather just bought a red and skipped the extra expense of the two tastings.

Wine, food, auction, fun! Come one come all! Manzoni 2020 Zin from Mainini Vineyard in scenic Monterey County CA, limited addition wine, it was just released past February. Wine bottle label speaks to you, the owners share, in our tasting room, we always have a few, unique, "under the radar" wines, special items reserved for family and friends. This very limited Zinfandel release was grown on the Mainini Vineyard in Monterey County. Grower ... Mainini Family Production ... 140 cases AVA ... Monterey An American Viticultural Area or AVA is a specific appellation of origin used on wine labels. Aromas of ripe blackberries, brown sugar and hints of vanilla on top of a solid core of hard spices and bright berry notes. Flavors of dark berry flavors continue from the aromatics and flow to plums, ripe pluots and notes of caramel. Casual chatter, coming to hear a "normal" Carmel-by-the-Sea international tongue in the air, visitors from abroad are finally coming back.
