It was a terrible experience visiting this place for the first time.

We ordered one cheese pizza and one salad, and it took them almost one hour to serve our food.

After waiting 40 minutes, I went back inside to ask for my order. The staff was definitely not helpful or apologetic for the delay. They made it seem like it was our fault because we was there “during rush hour,” which, of course, didn’t make any sense since it was 1:25 p.m. on an empty Monday in Carmel.

The staff asked me if we wanted a pastry to make up for the delay, but it took another 20 minutes until we could see our food, totaling the mentioned close to 1-hour wait.

When the food finally arrived, the salad (that I said we were sharing) was served in a single bowl, and the pizza was just slightly better than a Red Baron frozen pizza.

If you decide to try this place, make sure you just go for their grab-n-go options to avoid disappointments. Although I noticed a fly on their muffins, and their restroom was missing maintenance, with the trash bin overloaded and the trash spilling out over the top and no paper towels, which for me are all signs of poor management and care about their customers and the service they provide.

Funny enough, the default minimum tip displayed on their POS is 18% which is completely not aligned with the service levels provided by the staff here.

Grab the corner seat by the window so you can watch them make lots of different breads and pastries.

This is the best bakery and coffee shop in Carmel. We visited for a month and enjoyed Rise + Roam multiple times a week. We wish this place existed in Denver! Their lattes are spot on (coming from a coffee snob) and every baked good we tried was stellar - scones, croissants, morning buns, their bread. I’m honestly surprised this placed isn’t more highly rated. Don’t skip this place! 5 stars!

Thee food was good for my family. But it's a bakery so the the optins are limited for people with celiac disease.

Brides; Look no further - Chef Jess and the team at Rise are the answer for your wedding!!

Starting with Cake/Cupcakes: Chef Jess was AMAZING to work with. From the cake tasting (she made a 8 in cake for our tasting for me to take home with me) to communicating to making absolutely drool worthy cupcakes, I am in love with Chef Jess. Our guests RAVED about the cupcakes (she made us three types: red velvet with cream cheese, vanilla with caramel center, vanilla frosting with caramel drizzle and candied peanuts, and a chocolate cupcake with a fudge center, cookies and cream icing with oreo cookie crumble). Our cake was absolutely delicious (red velvet with cream cheese) - moist and flavorful to the max. She was a dream to work with and a true professional.

I also worked with Rise & Roam to coordinate breakfast for my bridesmaids and I on the morning of my wedding for pickup! The food was individually boxed (which was SO HELPFUL) and absolutely delicious.

Cannot recommend highly enough!!

Fantastic sweets if you're there before they sell out. Try the brown butter potato chip cookie, raspberry filled cruffin and almond croissant

Seeking a take away for a picnic we were able to settle on in house made quiche and a pepper filled bun. You could see the baking going on in the bakery area behind the counter so you know there are no processed foods here. This was not cheap $17 for quiche and bun but we knew it was quality and not only good for us but also delicious. You can eat in or like us take away.

Coffee was made from some of the most over roasted beans I’ve tasted. Threw it out and got hotel coffee instead. Got a $15 breakfast burrito that was dry from being reheated from frozen, was a chore to eat. Very disappointing experience. Expected the high prices in Carmel but would also expect high quality.

Stopped in Saturday for a quick lunch and they were the only place not completely filled up. Their pizza and fries were amazing and loved the ambience
