Scratch Wine Tasting Room

We did Welcome Drinks at Scratch for our wedding weekend. First off, the space is beautiful- very open with a few seating options- it was perfect for what we were looking for (open cocktail hour vibe). I would say we had about 70-100 guests and there was room for everyone to mingle and walk around. The wines were delicious and the charcuterie boards were great for our guests to graze on. The servers were very attentive and Sabrine and the team were awesome to coordinate with- they made everything so easy and straightforward. We will definitely be back!

This was a great recommendation by a local. Enrique was super nice and personable. My only critique would be the length between the tastings but as we are from New York we know we can be biased for speed. Átmosphere and knowledge were on point. I tried the Grenach, and my husband had a Chardonnay; bother were enjoyable. We enjoyed the outdoor patio and came inside for some live music which was also excellent! Thank you for making our day off, a delight!

What a gem! The space is beautiful and comfortable. Scratch has an eye for design and for fine art.

The wines are off-the-charts wonderful, from delectable bubbles to uncommon varieties and blends to classics like Grenache, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The staff are warm, friendly, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. Scratch was the highlight of our trip to Carmel Valley.

Great atmosphere. Nice wine but 0 customers service. Either the servers were very shy. Never acknowledged us. Or just didn’t care. We have to order from the counter. They never said even a hello or welcome. They brought us water once but that’s it. It wasn’t always like this. Such a bummer.

“small-lot Riesling, Grenache and Pinot Noir” sounds wonderful but it wasn’t.

The guy serving us, didn’t know much about wine. He made it feel very transactional.

Subpar wine.

One, from 2020, has smoke taint and they still served it.

Decor is weird and doesn’t fit.

There are other places next door. Go there instead.

this place was blah. wine was tasteless, vibe was too modern, didn’t get good info about the wine tasting. the tractive wine pour was off. some glasses had less than others… not my favorite stop at the wine tasting shops

Had a great time wine tasting at scratch wine, we got there a little late from off-road driving, all great wines, specifically the reds, kid friendly ? they have good atmosphere, everything is elegant, the outdoor is also pretty. Can't wait to go back.

Did a wine tasting and they were seriously some of the worst I've ever tasted. I'm not sure if they had been sitting out for too long, or if that is just how their wine is. Nice environment and service, though.

This is one of the best wine tasting rooms in Carmel Valley! A relaxed vibe, great wines sample and tasty platters. Your trip to this part of California would not be complete without a stop here
