Way over priced tourist trap. Got 2 salads add chicken and 2 margaritas, the bill was over $100. The salads were the tiniest things I have ever seen and were more of a decoration than an actual meal. They also lacked any flavor. The chicken was dryer than the Saharan dessert. The drinks had no tequila in them. The atmosphere is cool but don’t fall for the trap.

Expansive ocean view. Absolutely gorgeous.
Drinks are on the high side but are well-made.
We didn't have food this time but it was good in the past.

The view was phenomenal, a great view of the Pacific Ocean, on Thursday and Sunday a pianist plays there contributing to the ambience, wide open windows and a telescope!

Parking: For guests at the hotel not a hassle in walking distance, public parking on site.

Wheelchair accessibility: Ramps, and handicap lifts.

Went there for dinner as we were staying in the hotel. Many had told us the sunsets were absolutely spectacular and it did not disappoint. The food was good, service we had was excellent and the head-on view of the sunset over the water was comparable to that of Hawaii etc.

Located at Hyatt Highlands Inn. Hard to find a better view Carmel Highlands and Pt Lobos. Service and menu could be a bit better, but view overcomes this. Just have another drink.

Come for the views and cocktails. Chowder was very good and grapefruit Negroni was FANTASTIC. However, we found some of the food to be average. Specifically the beet, burrata, and heirloom salad. The as mussels themselves were god but the sauce could have been more flavorful.

The view alone is worth the price of a few drinks. Didn't get to eat here, but the menu looked fantastic. Would have returned if I hadn't had to move away for work.

I've been coming here for nearly 40 years and have yet to tire of this unique and beautiful spot. It's lovely any time of day or year, but there's a good reason it's called the Sunset Lounge.
