Probably the best patio in Carmel. We grabbed a reservation any sunny day and especially enjoyed the calamari, the club sandwich (HUGE) and the four square burger (split into quarters so you can share). Highly recommend.

What a lovely place! I got the Turkey Club with Caesar Salad and my husband got the Veggie Salad. We also shared a nice bottle of Viognier. Everything was perfect. Fantastic value.Inside there is a treasure trove of Doris Day memorabilia and the Inn itself is beautiful. If I could give six stars I would.

Do not bother to go here to try and get a cocktail after 9:15 at night. Even on a weekend as you will be ignored. Even though their website says they are open until 9:45 we were there Saturday night thinking we would at least get last call/1 drink. Although they saw we were there no later than 9:25 we were ignored. When we approached the bar and asked for service they said no and not even apologetically. More like go away we want to go home. Rude customer service. They finally did serve us because we demanded it, yeah how stupid of us to say please take our money for your poor service. After going here for many years I will never set foot in this place again.
We dined several times for lunch and dinner and enjoyed the food and service each time. Our labradoodle was made welcome at the table as well. We ate in their outdoor patio which is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Update.Last review (1 star of 5 years ago for lunch).Times change, circumstances change.Now 4 stars for night cap.Was spending a few days in Carmel and looking for a pleasant, quiet, comfortable place for a night cap notwithstanding my hotel, Auberge, had a cozy bar.Have been here before, but gave it another chance - and glad I did.The night was a bit chilly so sat inside.Several tables full (with pet companions) eating late dinners.My wife and I had a Manhattan (with 3 dark cherries) and a Chardonnay and a bar order of fries.It all hit the spot perfectly - and the people watching (with their dog buddies) was top notch.

I LOVE this place. I have made this my birthday spot 2 years in a row.Dogs are encouraged to bring their owners to this lovely restaurant and lounge for Yappy Hour. Patrons sit in a comfy lounge with a martini and their pup.I got to see the marvelous chanteuse Debbie Davis thus last trip.The drinks and food are great and the atmosphere is enchanting.Kudos to Rafael who took great care of us!

We stayed at Cypress Inn with dog. Ate three meals at Terry's Lounge. Came back one evening from eating at another restaurant and just had dessert. Each time great experience, lovely food, gracious service team, dog loved it.
