Goddamn worst Chinese I've had outside of New Mexico or Mexico or anywhere ozone i don't even know how to classify this garbage... maybe the cheapest worst you can get in Carmel, bless your Toto or newspaper.

We were visiting this place and got take out. The gentleman helping me was extremely rushed which is why I asked him to verify my items before I left. He verified everything is correct. Once we got back to the hotel, I realized he gave me an entirely wrong order. Instead of chicken and beef, he gave shrimp and lamb. Among other things that were missing. I called several times for them to refund me and even showed them a picture of what they gave me which didn't match my order. Please stay away from this place. Not only are they shady as heck but it is also filthy. Just take a peak around the wall where the kitchen is. So dirty, unsanitary, frozen noodles in bulk in dirty oil. A party of our group got sick after just having the chow mein. I'm not worried about them refunding because I can easily dispute this with my credit card. But you all should know that what you are eating.

Ok we went back. I am adding a star. This is because although it wasn't perfect, it def hit the spot. It was also good warmed up the next day. This is what we got this time. Sesame beef- this is all beef no onions or other fillers. It is breaded and a little tough, but was very good warmed up the next day Tommy special chow mein- too salty, but overall not bad Potstickers- not my favorite filling. Not bad. Walnut shrimp- amazing. Served with orange slices. Sweet and sour pork- mushy but a good flavor We went later in the day this time and the place was empty. Also, we were treated by a kind gentleman.

Great food and great service! Their ability to seat a number of tables at once while also attending to these tables (and other tables) is amazing! They do not take reservations, but are very very good at accommodating everyone! We were a party of five waiting with 3 other separate groups and we were all seated at the same time. I immediately worried that it would be forever for us to get service...nope! The service was amazing for us and the other groups. Any restaurant accommodating multiple seatings you expect the food to be compromised..NOT AT ALL. THE FOOD IS DELICIOUS! We do not live in Carmel, but try to visit a few times a year. Tommy's Wok is a family favorite! This is an incredibly well run restaurant with fantastic food.

Do not come here if vegan or vegetarian. Not the place for you. Accidental meat even in the veggie dishes.

OMG, We LOVE LOVE LOVE this pace! Every time I'm in the Monterey / Carmel area, I make sure to come here. EVERY time! Love the hot and sour soup, the pan fried pork pot stickers, the Mongolian Beef, the Peking Duck, everything! We also love cramped tiny busy little vibe here, and the quick, no-nonsense, attentive service. It's a tiny hole-in-the-wall, hidden in a basement below a bank, but WELL worth seeking it out!

I had heard great things about this place,my daughter and I ordered from there for the very 1st time today. Ordered Orange Chicken, chow mein, and beef and broccoli. What a disappointment, when we got home and we were surprised with asparagus and beef. Gross, the most disgusting veggie ever. I cannot stand asparagus, and was not what we ordered. For being 1st timers,we were very disappointed.??? Therefore,I can only give you 1 star.

The woman waitress or owner was so friendly. The price is really reasonable for the big portion. I ordered Broccoli Shrimp Lunch Set. It was delicious. But the black pepper soup wasn't my style.

We ordered take out and everything was still pretty good. For Chinese food in Carmel, this place is pretty decent. It's a small shop tucked away between other restaurants on one street, and at the end of the Wells Fargo parking lot from the other street. The staff was really nice & friendly. Orange Chicken: *4/5*: Really saucy and delicious. Could've been a little crispier but that's because we did take out, I imagine if we ate it there, it'd be fried well. The sauce is more savory than sweet but still good and a good taste of orange zestiness. Honey Walnut Shrimp: *4/5*: The shrimp was really big and fried well. Classic dish and tastes as how you'd expect. Green Beans: *5/5*: Perfectly wilted yet crunchy and super saucy Sizzling Rice Soup: *5/5*: Love the assortment of veggies in the soup. Soup had a nice chickeny flavor but not overly seasoned. Sizzling rice gave it a nice crunch

This place wasn't the best. My beef had a fishy taste which I couldn't even bare to eat. Luckily the orange chicken was some what decent but not your typical tasting. I won't be returning for $30+ for 2 plates and 1 a la carte. go somewhere else

Every time I'm in Carmel for work, a visit to Tommy's Wok is a must. This mom-and-pop spot is tucked away from the more high-end restaurants, offering a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The service here is top-notch, with a notably friendly and efficient female server who ensures your experience is nothing short of excellent. The food at Tommy's Wok is a real treat. Not only are the portions generous, ensuring you'll never leave hungry, but the quality and flavors of the dishes are outstanding. The 'Three Mushrooms' dish, in particular, is a favorite of mine, showcasing the kitchen's ability to deliver simple, delicious, and authentic meals. And the prices? They're fair and reflective of the great value you're getting in both service and culinary delight. Tommy's Wok is that charming, hidden gem you're always hoping to find when you explore a new town. It stands as a testament to what a small, family-run restaurant can achieve with passion and dedication to their craft. Definitely a spot not to be missed when you're in Carmel.

Solid hole-in-the-wall, which I didn't really expect to find in Carmel. Good portions for the lunch we had, and generally pretty flavorful! The spicy stuff could stand to be spicier, and I would have liked some stronger flavored options, but I'm mostly nitpicking here. The service was absurdly quick too!Come here if you're in a hurry or if you just want a solid choice that won't break the bank

Wonderful homemade, high quality, Chinese food! We were skeptical at first, since the dining room is very little & it seemed a little hectic, but then when we brought our first order home, they won us over! We can't get enough of the delicious pot stickers. You can't go wrong at this special little place. Enjoy!
