It’s good but not great. Cute place with a nice little rooftop for pretty days. Overall, it was a positive experience but I was not blown away.

Mediocre at best. We got the honey and cheese to start (just some old bread with bowls full of honey and goat cheese), the bolognese (soggy, overcooked noodles with flavorless sauce), and the thai red curry (kinda random, but actually not bad. The carrots were not cooked very well, but I didn’t hate it). It’s just super touristy and cheesy, and unnecessarily expensive for what it is. The servers were very nice, however I do not have any desire to return here. Sorry.

What a find. Walking distance from our hotel, lovely place and staff. Delicious Greek and Italian food. We had the bolognese and the lamb. So much food! Could not even finish it. Great wine pour. Can’t add photos. Ate it all including the complementary desert bite.

Always one of our best meals in Carmel. A go to location for curry. They have amazing clam chowder and a wide variety of appetizers. Comfortable very cozy indoors but nice outdoor seating when the weather is nice. Friendly professional staff, and the manager and owner are always there to greet you and make sure everything is perfect, we always plan at least one meal here when we're in town.

We frequent Carmel 2 to 3 times a year, it's our favorite semi local getaway spot. We are big foodies, so one of the draws to Carmel in addition to how adorable it is, the delicious food that you can get there. Treehouse Café has become one of our favorites. The ambience is romantic, and the food is top-notch. The service is exceptional, everybody is very friendly and makes sure that you are well taken care of. Highly recommend making a reservation as far in advance as possible, as it's hit or miss with walk-in availability.

Food was great, we had a reservation for 7 pm but got there 20 minutes earlier, no problem they sat us right away, my husband ordered their gyro platter for starters was absolutely delicious, our main entre was lamb stroganoff and chicken curry both outstanding, we definitely will be back Thank you.

I go about once a year and the wait staff (one guy in particular) remembers me every time. I don't know how he does it, but he recalls who I was with and what I ordered and what I talked about the last time I was there. This has been going on since 2018 and I've been maybe 8 times, and he still pulls it off.Food is excellent, atmosphere is phenomenal, and it's a sure-fire hit for anyone visiting the area. I took my best friend after he got engaged, I took my girlfriend when I wanted to impress her, I took my mom when I wanted to treat her, and I took my girlfriend's family when I wanted them to see their future son-in-law has good taste. Love love love this place, will continue to bring people and sing it's praises. Great desserts too, both the port and the chocolate. Literally the best baklava I've ever had. Also give that one guy a raise, every year I forget his name and he literally remembers to ask how my cat is doing and if I want the dish I ordered 2 years ago now that it's back on the menu.

Quite overpriced for what you get. The mushroom truffle ravioli was really good though.

Underwhelming. This is how I would describe the Treehouse Cafe. After seeing all the raving and glowing reviews from other people, I decided to finally give this place a try. Every time I’ve walked past the place, it was always busy. This time, I went and there wasn’t a whole lot of people. Then again, it was 3 in the afternoon.I had the seabass, which was alright. It was sautéed in garlic and spinach, which makes for a tasty combination. Still, I thought it was too much on the creamy and oily side. I had asked for coffee when I first sat down. They apparently forgot about it. I didn’t mention it because I figured there are lots of other coffee houses in Carmel-by-the-Sea, and that I would instead go for a cup of coffee there. And of course they checked on the table of 4 next to me more than they checked on me. I think the servers checked on them 4 times to my 1.Servers: Just because I dine alone doesn’t mean I’m dead. Get a clue and treat other how you’d like to be treated. Oh, I take it back. The servers didn’t seem to have good people skills in general. Remember: There wasn’t a whole lot of people when I went, which would mean there was no excuse for the bad service I got.Overall, I was unimpressed by this place and will likely not return.
