Such a cute little building and restaurant. I would recommend stopping in and at least having some tea.

Such a charming little spot! We stopped by The Tuck Box because my wife just had to go and she was interested in their high tea, which we didn’t get to try this time, but it’s definitely on our list for next visit.

We came for breakfast and ordered a Benedict. They didn’t have any gluten-free options, but the staff were super kind and made it work by serving it over fresh tomato slices for my wife. Had some coffee and the cozy cottage vibes made it all feel like a scene out of a storybook.

The space itself is adorablem great light during the day. Just a heads-up: it’s cash only, so plan ahead before you go.

All in all, a sweet, breakfast spot with friendly service. Can’t wait to come back and experience their high tea next time. ☕️

This place was recommend by our bike tour guide. He said the eggs Benedict is really good here, he was not wrong.

It was as cute as it looks from the outside and the food was delicious. The waiter was very nice and cheerful.

Note that they only take cash, fortunately I traveled with some for just such a reason.

Keep in mind, this is an historic, charming building. The menu is simple but everything is fresh, eggs always cooked perfectly to order, salads always crisp & fresh, scones are different than what you'd expect (so be flexible!), berry jam is yummy, and breakfast meats are very good.

The most charming building in Carmel. Delicious omelette. The homemade scones were an extra treat. The service was great. Definitely a must stop for breakfast in Carmel.

This place is really cute! The decor from outside to inside is meticulous. But the service is lacking.

When we got there, the place wasn’t event busy, only 3 tables. However, the two waitresses, instead of attending to the tables, were standing at their station chatting. I had to try to get their attentions few times to get service.

Additionally, I have a dietary restriction and don’t eat eggs. Every restaurants I’ve been to could always accommodate with substitutions to potatoes or something else, with or without additional charges. This place is the first place ever telling me they can’t do any substitutions. So I ordered the cheapest item on their menu, which was the scones. I guess they don’t need my business that bad with their inflexibility.

Charming small café, recommended by my ChatGPT! Lovely service. I sat outside and had the eggs benedict. No cappuchino etc., regular coffee only but served in cute mugs. Cash only!

Only ordered the scones, take out. Very tasty, they don't look like scones.

Not baby or stroller friendly. No high chair, and had to hold the baby in our arms the entire time during our visit. Their scone is not really a scone we expected, feels like mix between cornbread and biscuit. It was fine but not something to rave about. The waitress did not seem to know the difference between decaffeinated vs non-caffeinated tea. I asked about non-caffeinated tea options and she said they have decaffeinated teas. I told her those are different (decaffeinated still has some caffeine) and I would like caffeine free tea since I’m pregnant and she again said decaffeinated then told me to have a look myself and just handed me a selection board of tea bags. They do have couple of caffeine free herbal teas, but all these options other than house blend tea were store bought tea bags instead of loose leaf. Not very impressive for a tea place. Their hour posted on website is “2:30(ish)”, and they already had closed sign up at 2:00pm. The outside facade is very charming but that’s about it. Likely will not return here.
