It’s actually been over 3 months since I was here but somehow I can’t seem to stop thinking about the pizza I had here. It might have just been the best pizza I’ve ever had anywhere. Also can’t remember the IPA I enjoyed with my pizza but it was incredibly good.

We love Vesuvio! It’s our fav Italian restaurant anywhere! Their staff is friendly and professional.
The food is excellent - our favs are the lasagna (best ever anywhere), and Pepe’s Board.
The ambience is nice - it’s lively but not loud. The decor and music is beautiful and makes you feel like you’re in Italia. We love coming here and highly recommend it!

We had dinner in the main dining room. Food was great, and the service was great. It was a little loud, and most tables are positioned very closely to other tables, so it's not the best restaurant if you're looking for a quiet, romantic dinner. It's a bit more casual than that. I would definitely come back.

Delicious Italian spot! We grabbed drinks at the rooftop before dinner, and the bartender was able to customize a drink for me based on my tastes, which was sweet of them. Dinner itself was delicious - we got the vodka pasta and seafood risotto. Good price point for Carmel. Would recommend!

Went on a friends weekend to Carmel by the sea, my friend remembered a wonderful restaurant where she had Italian food. It was Vesuvio and only three blocks from our inn. The food was excellent, the service was fantastic and it was the only part of our weekend that met the expectations of her previous trip she had to Carmel. Thank you, Vesuvio.

MY wife and I were passing through Carmel and was told we had to enjoy some Roof top time at Vesuvios. Well we did and it was such an amazing experience. Rooftop just makes everything better. The house made manhattan and old fashioned that are barreled just for them were absolutely delicious to the last drop. I should have came home with a bottle of each so I could relive that experience. All the drinks were made perfectly. The service was excellent. We had roof top and inside servers since we enjoyed both setting and the service was great. If we get to come back to Carmel we are definitely stopping here again! We did enjoy some meatball lollipops and some gnocchi with a burnt to a perfection cheese on top as well. My only complaint is that we didn’t have enough stomach for food and drinks ;)

Cute and charming spot in Carmel-by-the-Sea, and one of the few that stays open until 10pm (a big plus since most places close early). My partner and I came here after an evening at Refuge Spa, and it was the perfect way to end the night.

We ordered the lasagna and crab ravioli—both delicious, though the portions felt a bit small for him. The Old Fashioned and tiramisu were just okay, but the main dishes and the cozy atmosphere made up for it. Service was attentive and kind without being overbearing.

Overall, Vesuvio is a great choice for a date night or late dinner in Carmel. I left happy and content with the whole evening—spa, food, and the warmth that carried through the rest of the night.

I ordered the lasagna…it was Ok, WAY overpriced…Jessica was my server, she wasn’t friendly, or welcoming. Won’t be back and don’t recommend. Oh ya and they don’t accept cash.

The rooftop was nice, the service was great, but the food was mediocre. The food came out luke warm and the flavor was okay, but not up to par with other restaurants in the area
