Chefs Tim Wood and Chris Caul follow up their Award winning Woody's at the Airport with this venture at the lovely Del Mesa dining rooms. Embarrasses a lot of local restaurants charging twice the price.

Tim Wood has a well earned reputation as a fine chef. Restaurant is good and fairly priced, which is rare in Carmel. He catering and functions are even better.

More like a dining room in a retirement home, which is pretty close. Food mediocre. Service ok but not first class.

Tasty, large portions. Decent service and some great views. Reasonable prices. We went there for lunch and split a salad and a sandwich. Still too much for us! Just as good as Woodys at the airport.

An unexpected amazing dinner and experience! We had the Caesar salad and beet salads and ribeye and filet for dinner. Robust portions cooked perfectly and the side twice baked potatoes were decadent but so tasty!! Service is exceptional. We will be back!

We had a private party on the patio at Woody's Del Mesa. Peggy Terry, and Henry could not have been more attentive and the food was amazing. Steak bites, calamari, chicken wings were incredible, wonderful place to have a group gathering.

We greatly enjoy this secret spot for locals; better known is their first restaurant - Woody's at the Airport (winner of this year's USA Today Best Airport Restaurant title). We prefer the Del Mesa location for its location about halfway between Carmel Valley and Carmel. Don't let the seemingly limited menu dissuade you - there are always specials, especially of fresh seasonal seafood (I think the chef must have connections !!) Although prices may seem high to out-of-towners, they are not out of line and probably a bit lower than similar restaurants in the area. This time, there was a soup special, as well as three entree specials. The food is well planned and executed and simply delicious - we haven't had a bad meal yet and the relish tray was a nice start. The chicken potsticker appetizer was perfectly crispy on the outside and the meat well flavored and they were drizzled with sauce. Most important - a warm and welcoming environment is created by Henry and the servers. The servers were attentive without being intrusive and Henry came around several times to ensure everything was up to standards. Reservations are recommended since the restaurant is located in a private gated community - but don't let this put you off. The restaurant looks as good as any other white tablecloth place, as are the food, presentation and service. All policies are spelled out on the menu. Can't wait for our next meal !!!

My wife and I enjoyed a quiet dinner with friendly service and tasty food. The wings and crab cakes are both recommended as is the burger. We will definitely go back!

I have to say, Woody's at Del Mesa is top notch. We've had both lunch and dinner there several times...and tonight's Thanksgiving menu warranted a 5-star review. We decided to eat at Woody’s for Turkey Day this year, and it was absolutely fantastic. Apple cider-brined turkey, double butter mashed potatoes, brioche stuffing, butternut squash soup, rolls and gravy, roasted brussel sprouts, and pumpkin and apple pies with Chantilly cream. So good. If you haven't been...you should go.Their regular menu is unique, and consistently delicious. You won't regret it! Go!

So much to experience at Woodys at Del Mesa! This visit the large Chandelier Room was packed with groups both large and small enjoying the sunset views and heart fare!We chose the salmon dinner and the special meat loaf for our entrees. We munched on warmed sour dough bread and sipped Bernardo Sauvignon Blanc while we admired the sunset over the trees!

Food and atmosphere very good!We will be back, however I don't like credit card service fees tacked on to the bill. (It's just a cost of doing business).I guess I'll have to bring cash next time.

Excellent food, service and setting. Woody often comes out of the kitchen to talk with his customers. Some of the best food I have ever eaten. We have been there twice and will return soon.

The service is generally four stars. Only once in a couple dozen meals was that not true. The food is four stars all the way, and with a choice of three separate seating areas, ambiance to suit!Favorite dishes: Sand dabs, "Wills Fargo" steak bites; Seared Ahi Tuna; Pan Seared Salmon. Oddly, perhaps, but the best Pot Stickers in the Monterey Bay Area, including ethnic restaurants. Many soups are fabulous, changes according to season/ingredients available. Big steak offerings, but I am off red meat by and large, so can't comment from my won experience. Desserts: heard they are good, but I don't eat them often enough to comment.
