We had Good bones cater an anniversary dinner for us. Miles is an absolute exquisite chef! He blew our socks off, handled all of our dietary requests and served the most memorable unique 6 course meal at our vacation home. Can't recommend enough!

Excellent place. We stopped in to hear some live music and had a truly fantastic dinner at a very fair price. Absolutely a hidden gem. They're fairly new, so if you're local, by all means drop in for dinner and help establish the business. And if you're just passing through, stop in for outstanding food and spread the word to your friends who may visit the coast.

Delicious food in an adorable old Inn. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They had toys for the kids and adjusted the menu to our needs. I highly recommend this restaurant ??

This place is such a hidden gem! Stopped off for lunch and thought it was wonderful- delicious bean brothy soup and heirloom tomato sandwich, plus a homemade cookie to go. They make their own bread etc and it shows!

Not sure why this place is 4.9/5. We came in for lunch and the sandwich was pretty uninspiring and for $18, it didn’t amount to much

We stopped by Good Bones for lunch during our visit to Mendocino from Los Angeles.

We shared the chicken rice bowl, the chicken soup, the turkey sandwich and a chocolate chip cookie. We loved everything!!

Not only was the food comforting and delicious, the owner, Myles, was extremely welcoming and shared some great tips for the rest of our trip - hiking as well as another new restaurant down the road (Maritime Cafe).

We enjoyed our time so much we decided to go back a second time for a concert that evening. Vibe was great and there was a mix of both locals and visitors.

Overall, great spot and we’ll be back!

You must go out of your way to stop here for a lunch bite, or an evening with live music and bites! I had the lunch menu and ordered the pulled pork sandwich. The bread is house made and was *chef’s kiss* so good! And the pulled pork, wow it’s insane. The sandwich to spoil all others ? Folks in my group ordered the rice bowl, another sandwich and the bean soup and loved their meals. We didn’t know when we ordered that it was the owner helping us, and he very kindly let us order an heirloom tomato salad not offered on the menu that was so so fresh and flavorful. Every detail of the food, the quality, and service was considered. Stop here, take time to enjoy, and be kind to the staff - you’ll love it!

Such delicious food. You can tell they cook with love….and the freshest of ingredients. I got the half sandwich-half soup lunch option. The bread was a house baked sourdough and the turkey tasted like they roasted it that morning. The herbs in the beany brothy soup must have been garden picked, and the delicate seasoning was light and savory. My biggest regret? That I passed up the cookies on the front counter. I need to get back in there soon!

We ate inside the Good Bones historic roadhouse. They keep the flavor of that history with musical events, and also offer catering and private events. The location is just around the corner from Jug Handle State Natural Reserve with its lovely beach, and the Ecological Staircase Trail. Also, very close to Russian Gulch State Park. So, if you want to pick up a lunch and take it with you to a nearby scenic spot that's an option too.

Even though I live locally I didn't know about Good Bones, until a friend raved about their rice bowls. Caspar is such a tiny town it's easy to drive by…but get in here! You won't regret it :)

Amazing food at a cozy spot. Just visited for the first time and will be coming back. Deserves to be a local favorite.I had the rice bowl with chicken, which came with a yogurt-y dressing, roasted carrots, and perfectly cooked, juicy chicken, all with a wonderful spice. My partner had a veggie sandwich and raved about the white bean humus.

Vegetarian options: Most of the menu items have vegetarian options; the rice bowl can be had with mushrooms or egg, the veggie sandwich is also a good option.
