I called in my order today on my lunch break. I asked for the Teriyaki Chicken with rice and mac, and I specifically said “No cabbage.” The person on the phone then asked, “So just mac?” which confused me, but I clarified again that I wanted rice, mac, and chicken.
When I arrived, my order was only chicken and mac—no rice. Normally, I wouldn’t have been too bothered, but the older woman who helped me was quite rude and insisted that I had asked for only mac, which I hadn’t. It may have been a language barrier, but it didn’t come across that way. The cashier at the front also wasn’t very helpful in resolving the issue.
I usually enjoy this style of food and like the L&L Hawaiian Barbecue chain overall, but I would avoid coming back to this location. The service was disappointing, and the restaurant itself didn’t feel particularly clean.

This location is closer to me but I guess I better go back to Riverbank. The garlic shrimp is so dry, used to be drenched in butter but now it’s overcooked with barely any garlic and no butter and has no taste. They also give less in the mini than before. The chicken katsu tastes like it was fried in old oil. Very disappointing. $64 wasted.

Just left this place and let me tell you….. 5 STARS! not sure if it’s family owned or not but they sure did make us feel like family. My girlfriend and I did a takeout order and when she was walking out she accidentally dropped it. The people inside saw this and IMMEDIATELY started making another one before they even came out to us. They came out to let us know they were making another one and made us feel so much better. The young girl in the front even came to clean it up right away. THIS is how you run a business. Hands down the best service ever!!!!!

What a bunch of knuckleheads. Food is OK, but they will leave you on hold and forget about you - happens all the time. Employees act like they just don't care about the job or the customers. Hard to recommend a place this bad.

Food was good but no carrots in my Mac. The moco loco is bomb, they let me add onions but didn't grill them. The main reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because their prices are lower than the Riverbank L&L Hawaiian, why? (Riverbank's moco loco is +$2 more). I wish they'd build one in Modesto as both are an inconvenient drive.
