The pan dulce, bread, champurrado, and desserts are top notch. I know it’s a hole in the wall place, but it’s seriously the best kind of desserts! I’ve been going here for years. Even when they were at the old location by Los Portales in chino. I’ve also been to the other location by Los Portales in Montclair. They weren’t very talkative but they are fast. They do always say hi. My favorites are the arroz con leche, champurrado, birote with jalopeno and cream cheese, elotes, etc.Delicious! Must try.

This was my go to spot up until my family and I had a negative experience Christmas Eve. I had put a tamale order weeks prior to the holiday and scheduled pick up for 5:00Pm. My brother was to pick them up. Upon calling the business establishment to inform the owner he was running late due to being in traffic she stated he was lying that the order was supposed to be picked up hours prior. She claimed that the business (5:00) was closed for the day and the tamales could be picked up the following Monday of. He pleaded and told her he was not far and she responded very rudely and hung up the call. Rather than looking at the receipt order she had (the original copy) she simply did not care. Keep in mind the order was paid for prior. So my husband runs to the bakery manages to convince her to please open the door. We got our tamales. As he's walking out he noticed the business establishment is now rated B. As we ate our tamales trying to process why the employee was so rude my husband decided to inform me about the B rating. Needless to say we won't be back. They have some severe violations that I cannot look past. Best wishes to the business but please work on your customer service and maintaining your business establishment.

Their tamales suck! There's no meat in them! They may be big, but it's all masa! I will definitely not come here again for tamales

This spot is my go to for my champurrado, Avena, and cafe de canela. Tastes like my grandma's. Their breakfast sandwiches are yummy in the bolillo bread.

Outstanding Panaderia. I know of few better places for Mexican bread. Didn't try a piggy (love those), didn't look great, but imagine they would have been good. Muffins, cakes, conchas, turnovers, and cookies were great. Dropped about $12, could have spent more happily. Have come here many times over the years and this place is fairly consistent in quality. Highly recommend. Staff were fine, though this is the first time I have ever been asked in a concerned tone why I was taking pictures. (Nobody was in the photos as you can tell, but I think this likely never happens here, explained that the photos were for Google Maps, didn't really get why people would want to see a photo of what can be purchased here, hopefully this doesn't indicate issues coming from fairer skinned individuals - had on a mask, don't think I look that white, but who knows)There are a lot of Panaderias that can be found nearby and not that far off, but I don't know if what you find will be much better than what you find here. Way better overall than ones in OC.
