I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a deeply troubling incident that occurred at your restaurant on Sunday, November 16th, at noon.
Upon our arrival, we checked in and were told the wait time would be approximately 15 minutes. However, we were left waiting for nearly an hour. During this time, multiple parties who arrived after us were seated one by one, while our group remained ignored.
Our party consisted of six people, including four individuals with intellectual disabilities. When we approached the hostess to ask why we were still not seated, she looked at us with a clearly discriminatory expression and responded, “You have to wait for your turn.” Her tone and attitude were dismissive, disrespectful, and entirely inappropriate, especially given the vulnerable individuals in our group.
Only after we expressed our frustration and reasoned with her did she finally seat us. This behavior demonstrated not only poor customer service but also a lack of basic human respect. It was one of the most unprofessional and unacceptable experiences we have ever encountered in a restaurant.
We request that this incident be taken seriously and that appropriate action be taken to ensure no other guests experience such discriminatory treatment in the future. We also expect a formal response regarding the steps you will take to address this matter.

Hubby, mom and I went for dinner. Food was good, had 2 Meatloaf dinners and a Burger plate. Atmosphere was nice. Problem is with the restrooms, both men's and women's fans make an unbearably loud screeching sound. Almost deafening. Men's had sewer fumes. Reported it to a staff member and she just told me yes it's awful and they have called for repair and no one has come to fix it. Had a small problem with the cashier not putting the correct amount tendered in when we paid. He made a remark about us only leaving a small tip. Had to remind him of the bills I had given him. Which would have given the server a 20% tip. Suddenly he came up with the extra $10.

Always a lovely place to get breakfast. Gloria was lovely and took good care of us. Food is delicious; thank for making my egg hard-boiled, its hard to find them at restaurants. I appreciate y'all ❤️

Great place. Took a while to get food but the atmosphere was nice and it was an understandable wait since it was a busy Sunday morning. Would definitely recommend to try it out and I’ll be coming back! Food was good.

It is unreasonably expensive, however, the portions are very hearty, and the food is tasty with a cozy atmosphere. Had a nice early Sunday breakfast with nobody around but the cops.

Darlene our server has an amazing, positive attitude. She's very helpful and pleasant. And a true blessing. Black Bear Diner is extremely lucky to have her. She is very much appreciated.
