I was not impressed. The food portions were lacking, the waiter overwhelmed, a little bit pricey to boot.

Humberto has been a wonderful server & provided great service while I spent my time at Mimi’s Cafe. When I needed a refill on the pomegranate of my mimosa to finish what’s left of my champagne. He did so with haste & such a joy it melted my heart tons
I have so missed Mimis. They closed the one need my home. I was so looking forward to eating there. I ordered my old standard ..corn chowder, cobb salad and a buttermilk spice muffin. The muffin was beyond incredible. The soup and salad however ..not the best. Nothing like I remembered. The other group members enjoyed their food but I was just feeling like I need to make my own corn chowder. There was also all kinds of spider webs in the windows and behind the seats. Seriously?

Honestly the Mimi's Cafe in my area had closed down years ago so when I saw it here I decided to go. The service was great. The food just isn't good and it's really sad because I remember Mimi's Cafe being decent food.

After 27 years in customer relations and service (31 total outside my current employer), I was very very convinced that outside the walls and structure of my company, CUSTOMER SERVICE DIED a brutal and awful death! Jori renewed my faith in the art of convincing and encouraging the customer that we are a team to inspire a great outcome for all involved. Mimi’s, treat her right, because sooooo many other companies would love her style of service and work. Oh! And side note!! BAAABAY that bathroom was so clean!!! The toilet had soap in it, floor clean
(Mopped), and the toilet was inviting!!! It had the smell of fresh clean, and ready for business. And me being a woman of a certain age (ok, 52 in October), I appreciate a clean ladies room! Because sometimes this 50+ bladder makes me feel like I’m potty training alll over!!!!!! Ughhhhh!!! Thank you Jori, and thank you MiMi’s I will be back soon!

Food was all delicious, especially warm muffins! Our server Jose Lopez was outstanding, very attentive and friendly!
The landscaping people were doing their job by the back door and for some odd reason when they were blowing machine alot of debris was coming inside where we were seating ,even though the door was closed. Other than that it was fine.

As a long-time patron of the Chino and Chino Hills dining scene, I’ve come to appreciate the wide array of quality restaurants that make this area such a pleasure to live in. That said, I was deeply disappointed by my recent visit to this particular Mimi’s Café — a location that, while beautifully designed and conveniently located, served what was, quite frankly, one of the most underwhelming breakfasts I’ve had in years.
The item in question was the Monte Cristo sandwich, which bore almost no resemblance to the classic version I’ve come to know and enjoy. What I received was essentially a dry ham and Swiss sandwich between two lifeless slices of French toast. It lacked all of the defining elements that make a Monte Cristo special — no powdered sugar, no rich batter, and certainly no berry compote. Instead, I was given a side of what appeared to be an unappetizing, borderline spoiled mix of blueberries and strawberries — and to make matters worse, it was an additional charge.
When I respectfully brought the issue to the server’s attention, I was met not with concern or a willingness to resolve the issue, but rather a dismissive and abrupt response — questioning why I hadn’t mentioned it sooner, and clearly more focused on the check than the guest experience. I attempted to salvage the meal by dipping the sandwich in syrup, but after one bite, I simply couldn’t continue. It was inedible.
The only item that met expectations was the peach iced tea, which was refreshing — but unfortunately, not enough to redeem the visit. For a brand that positions itself as offering quality and comfort, this experience fell far below even the most basic standards. Given the price point, the lack of quality control and service is especially troubling.
I sincerely hope that Mimi’s Café takes this feedback seriously. There is potential here, but right now, it’s being overshadowed by poor execution and an apparent disregard for the dining experience. This was not just disappointing — it was disheartening.
