Have seen this donut shop for a few years now, first time visiting as a customer was simple and neat. Staff was nice and patient with me, and even gave me an extra treat with my order. The coffee I had (which I forgot to get pic of) was tasty, as well as their Cake donut, the hot wheels. Even at a bit pricey than most places, ill Def visit in the future to try out their tea and other donut options, maybe during Christmas if there's ever a peppermint flavored item. Ps gonna eat the others i bought later :3

I want to love this place based on their donut flavor profile and their mochi donuts. Their decorated donuts are also very cute and my kids love them. They mochi donuts are priced accordingly but the prices of their other donuts is insane and not work the cute designs. I’ve gone in a couple of times and the donuts do not taste fresh at all. So the price (excluding mochi donuts) is too high and the freshness is not on par.

(Coming soon) Their strawberry funnel cake doughnut is hands down the most incredible treat I’ve ever tasted — crispy, perfectly fried, and dusted with just the right amount of sweetness. The fresh strawberries on top add the perfect burst of flavor, making every bite a heavenly experience. The texture is light yet satisfyingly indulgent, and the flavor balance is spot on.
Beyond that amazing doughnut, the whole vibe at Painted Dough is welcoming and upbeat. The staff is friendly and passionate about what they do, which really shines through in the quality and creativity of their offerings. Whether you’re grabbing a quick snack or treating yourself to something special, this place is a total winner. Can’t recommend the strawberry funnel cake doughnut enough — it’s a must-try dessert that will keep you coming back for more!

These are not your grandmothers doughnuts. Hell, even the gluten free doughnuts were soooo good. Only carried out an order, but my colleagues and I were really impressed with the quality and taste. I will definitely be back to painted dough.

We enjoy the Coachella Valley pop ups while my staff also enjoy their delicious, creative and fun Donuts. We look forward to them opening their new location in Indio in the near future!! Great mochi donuts, soft yet slightly chewy like mochi should be. Sign up for their rewards!…I bought a dozen mochi donuts today and was pleasantly surprised to have $10 off in rewards and I haven’t even been in a while, and have probably visited less than 5 times prior. We tried their Ube Milk Tea and it was yummy…actual ube, not just some kind of flavored powdered, sweet but not overly so, creamy. They have some cutely decorated/themed fancy donuts too (we got a crème brûlée)….decorations with Hello Kitty, Minecraft, rainbow, s’mores, hot wheels, etc. Friendly/efficient service.

Painted dough is amazing and it’s become part of my family tradition on my days off I take them to get super donuts and they love it every time. The staff is amazing and everything from the coffee, bagels, burritos, & donuts are amazing! Thank you painted dough! Might need to look into franchising with you soon 😉

Wow! I stopped by to get a quick donut and coffee and I was so impressed. The staff is so friendly Gil and Delilah were the absolute best. I left with a big box of donuts and their Vietnamese iced coffee. Everything was so delicious and fresh I left feeling happy and excited to come back. Thank you Gil and Delilah! I’m happy to hear they cater and I will keep them in mind for future parties and events.
Honestly the most expensive donuts I’ve ever gotten. $25 for a half dozen is kinda crazy tbh. Very good donuts though. Will probably skip this next time. Worth at least a shot tho :)

I’ve been fortunate enough to experience a Painted Dough donut—though calling it a donut hardly does it justice. These are true works of culinary art, and thanks to Gil Ruttenberg’s pop-ups throughout the Coachella Valley, I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying them locally. Each creation is thoughtfully crafted, bursting with flavor, and visually stunning. Their Vietnamese coffee is equally impressive—rich, bold, and with the right amount of sweetness - a perfect complement to their donuts.
I also had the opportunity to visit their Chino location, and the experience was just as memorable. Emily provided outstanding service—warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the brand. It’s clear that Painted Dough is committed to excellence not only in their products but also in how they treat their customers. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
