Wanted to try and like this place cuz its local. Ordered the mac and cheese. Found a hair in my plate. They actually brought me anew plate and apologized. But the food was watery and still had the ice in it from not being thawed out right. The atmosphere is awful. Local people that don't like customers that are of a darker skin tone. Lots of drunk old white men with arrogant attitudes. The beer is junk too. It is obvious that these are weekend brewers that have no idea what they are doing as far as the quality of their beer.

Love love love the food and the beer! Love that the owners know how to run this place the way business should be run! They got us white folks partying in the front and all the coloreds working in the back! And thank god Randy Cheryl and their son dont allow any hip hop or spanish music at their place! Keeps the classyness up! They dont allow no dreads or baggy clothing there! Keep the "undesireables" out! Love the southern feel to this place as well!

Not gonna lie, only been to this place once. But the owner hired the guy that beat and terrorized my sister in law. I wont go there and wont let any of my family go there. That guy might flip out one day and hurt someone.

Stopped by for a beer while walking around the Pistachio Fest in Old Town. Three of us sat at a table, a server comes over to us and said, "are going to eat", I told her We were just getting a beer. She informed us that tables were for those dining only, and we could go to the patio for just a beer, she was rather abrasive. So we go up the patio, order 3 beers, not very cold beers, I walk to the window and ask for some ice, a different, also abrasive server said, "well the thing is, we are really short on ice". This was a FRIDAY and they had just opened! But, those dining, all had ice in thier waters and other drinks! So i drank as much as i could of my warm beer?. My husband went inside to use the restroom, he was stopped by TWO different employees asking him if he was dining there, he explained we already purchased beer and not dining, if they were not going to let him go to the bathroom because he was not purchasing food. The whole experience was very ridiculous and that was not our first experience there but it will definitely be our last now! Oh and they couldn't break a 100.00 bill for a 25.00 purchase, again, it was FRIDAY evening! We spoke to 2 different sets of customers by us, one had the same experience when attempting to use the restroom, and he WAS dining?. The others also asked for ice for thier warm beer and were denied as well! ?

Great burger & beer place , outside seating with LIVE music. In the center of old town. A must do for a charming night when in Clovis.

559 Beer is located in a small town with a genuine historic vibe. Had a chance to meet the owners who were very cordial and inviting. 559 Beer boasts one of the more unique beer menus we have encountered - with a strong emphasis of infusing local farm elements, particularly fruits. You'll also find some IPAs and old stand by styles, but you'll also get a chance to try some beer styles that you will be hard pressed to find elsewhere. We found some of the fruit based beers particularly refreshing in the hot summer weather of Clovis. We sampled eight beers, starting with a flight. The restaurant offered live music on the Friday evening when we visited. For food, we had fish tacos and the fish and chips. Enjoyed this place a bunch.
