My food was too salty.Even margarita was extremely salty.I know most restaurants usually cook with a lot of salt.I did trust their reviews.Very disappointed!

1. Service all around friendly and attentive, huge compliment for that. All staff happy and friendly.2. With that food from lengua taco to quesabirria taco to their taco asada salad (didn't finish cause the tacos were good size), also salt perfect amount to their meats.3. Would be back cause the chimichanga was calling my name next time :)Ohhhh, chips and salsa great start to the meal.Thank you and keep up the great work all front & back end staff.

Second time getting sick from the food ?

Ordered an Asada Burrito with beans and rice on the side & a bean burrito. I finished my bean burrito and my daughter started to eat her food and as she was eating her beans and went in for a second scoop, she found a bug in her beans. I took the food back and showed them the bug that was still in the food and explained to them what happened. i was told how long they had been opened and how they never had a problem like this. Yet, they did see the bug . i was told they would remake the food again and i declined as my daughter and i had become very sick over the thought of possibly have eaten a bug and had requested our money back for our food. I was told i could only get the money back for the food i had brought in and not for the bean burrito i had vomited back up due to knowing there was a bug inside of their beans. I did not make a scene inside their establishment, i just walked out and cut my losses as i will NEVER be back and i will let everyone know that i referred there never to go back again! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! and very disturbing that they have bugs in their food.

The wifey and I love this place!! Shredded beef tacos are where it's at!! Honestly can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Great Staff and excellent food!! Just wish they didn't close at 5 pm and stayed open later.

I found this place because I was at Maple and Herndon, had finished a medical treatment and needed to have my Thursday night Carne Asada fries. I didn't want to go to my typical place because I was having a bit of a personal celebration been wanting something closer to where I was currently located. So I started searching Yelp and found Carillos. Now that I've been here, I'm thinking where have I been for 20 years? I have gone by this place so many times without giving it at a glance. It's on Bullard, just east of Villa close to the 168 freeway offramp. So conveniently located. Excellent start. You walk in, and it is not much to look at, because it just has very regular tables and metal chairs. Not many booths or anything fancy like that. However, services is spectacular, they greet you with a smile, and they are very attentive, rapid, and precise, warm, and friendly. My waiter brought me a menu and asked about a drink. They have wine, beers and margaritas. I wanted sangria, but they don't have wine sangria just the soda pop variety. At any rate, I had already looked online at the website and spied the special fajita topped fries. While they do have Carne Asada fries, I felt like splurging because of my personal celebration so I did. They do come to the table initially with a huge basket of lightly flavored complementary tortilla chips, and a delicious red salsa. It's a very fresh salsa, a little bit more liquid than a pico de gallo, but definitely tomatoes, onions cilantro, etc. Not too spicy, but not over blended. You definitely get the chunks of tomato And onion. Really good. I was shocked when I received my fajita special fries, which were loaded with marinated steak, marinated chicken, and shrimp. These were big, jumbo shrimp. In typical fajita fashion, it also had the strips of green bell pepper, and onion that had been sautéed, melted cheese, was all over the plate, and topped with salsa and sour cream. Slathered all over the french fries. It was a huge platter. This is enough food to feed two people. It was so exciting looking, a lady from across the restaurant ran across the room and asked me what on earth did you order?! Yes, it was that fabulous looking. See the photos. As I sunk my teeth into it every bite was just so scrumptious. Since I would rather have potatoes more than any food in the world, it was so perfect to have these delicious marinated grilled meats with all the vegetables over a bed of potatoes. Fried potatoes. Could not have been better; and the beer that I ordered with Negro Modelo was fantastic - perfect meal. The good service kept up, the waiter kept checking on me throughout the meal. And it was a shockingly decent price. Way less than you would expect for a combination of fajitas - really good value really great flavor. Carrillos, I will definitely be back!

Carrillo's is an excellent Mexican restaurant, I highly recommend going there for dinner. They use very high-quality ingredients to prepare their meals. Guests enjoy a welcoming atmosphere in three beautifully Mexican-style decorated rooms. I went here for my birthday dinner and I will definitely come back. Shoutout also to Victor, who was our server tonight!

Tasty complimentary salsa and chips but no offer of refills. Very good horchata served in huge glasses. Took awhile to get drinks to our party of eight. Otherwise, service was fine. Food is definitely not too spicy. Some in our group looked for the hot sauce. My carnitas burrito was very bland. The cafe has added more space, taking up a couple of other available spots in the strip mall, so can seat large groups.
