Great Persian Cuisine in Fresno area. The Mirza Ghassemi was even better than Raffi in Glendale. Will be back.

My wife and I had lunch here for the first time. This restaurant gave us a VERY rare experience- I recommend it for anyone desiring a true epicurean experience! The food was good in flavor, the atmosphere was genuine and the owner, Abdi, is very cordial and welcoming! Their menu includes a variation of a Persian chicken dish I make on occasion (Polo Morg), which had a mild, slightly sweet flavor. Their saffron rice is spot-on! The lamb kabobs are very flavorful and quite tasty! We will definitely return and we will recommend this to our friends!

Very delicious food. We had the special kabob platter for two, which could have easily provided a decent meal for four or a feast for two and our picky young kid with ample leftovers in our case, and the appetizer sampler, with fresh lavash flatbread and four accompanying dishes. The platter had three types of kabob, the waitress politely asked if we were familiar with the dishes or if we want recommendations for combining them (advising the kabob combined with the maast-o musser was very good). And I will never not recommend Persian tea.The service was excellent, attentive and friendly but not smothering, though we had a seat near the door and it was a cold day. Every time the door opened, we were refrigerated, and the door took forever to close and did not even want to close more quickly manually, and the heater was overcompensating to keep up, so it would get overly warm in the interim. The atmosphere was pleasant enough. The floor was a little messy when we came in, but not terrible. The paint or covering on the tables are sadly not adhering properly and is bubbling and peeling, I hope they can get that fixed (or get tablecloths). It looks like they have a nice outdoor area, so we will definitely want to check it out on a day when the weather is nice.All-in-all, definitely recommend, especially for getting a real Persian food experience.

I've moved to Fresno about 2 years ago and I remember the first thing I did when I moved here was look for Persian and afghan restaurants and nothing popped up. I was so sad. Recently my friend was in the area and noticed this place and was eager to try it so we and another close friend came in today. The ambiance was cozy and intimate. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The owner, I'm guessing, smiled as soon as he noticed us walk in and welcomed us in. We all got the beef koobideh which is my favorite. I'm not Persian but middle eastern and I will loudly say that Persians win in the kabob territory. It's always flavored nicely and juicy! We ended our night with their rose water and cardamom ice cream paired with baklava/baklawa and sooooo freaking delicious! I'm so happy to know this place exist in Fresno.

Delicious persian food and a service with a smile. The food took a while to come but was worth it. The ingredients were fresh. Highly recommended .

The tag deeg ain't that great, it's made with bread and not the classic tah deeg (crispy rice). Otherwise the food was good.
