I was surprised by the fixed menu multi course dinner as opposed to the standard menu, but the dinner was outstanding, we really enjoyed ourselves. I would not hesitate to go there

My girlfriends and I like to do monthly dinners. Sometimes we get to try places we haven't been to before. One of the gals chose Trelio to venture to this particular evening. All I have to say is this experience was fun! I loved it. It is definitely a different dining experience than what I am used to. Trelio is located on Clovis Avenue in Old Town Clovis. Parking is available behind the restaurant or in front. We found the parking to be easily available. Reservations are required. They have four options for seating when you make your reservation. You can choose from their main dining area, library, garden patio or bar. Their website gives a detailed description of each. We chose the dining room when making our reservation. When you arrive at the restaurant, you will be immediately greeted. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Once you get to your table, take a peak at your menu. It has the last name of person who made the reservation on it. We thought was that pretty cool and a great personal touch to make us all feel welcomed. The menu is a prix fixe menu, but the dishes will change seasonally. There are two options to choose from. The option is their full menu which is a delicious 9 course meal. The second option is their abbreviated menu which is a choice of an entree or dessert. We decided to go with the 9 course option. This was a great experience as you got to experience various dishes. The staff who served us would describe each dish to us as they brought it out . Each dish definitely stood out on their own. I definitely recommend that you try out Trelio if you are looking for a very unique dining experience.

Trelio is a small, quaint restaurant in downtown Clovis with great food! I took my daughter to dine at Trelio on Super Bowl Sunday, which also happened to be her birthday and we weren't disappointed with the food or the service. We both ordered from the abbreviated menu selections which came with a one-bite appetizer to start, followed up by house-made focaccia bread and pink lentil soup with cashew, an entree and dessert. For the entree, I had the wagyu tenderloin medallions with garlic mash potatoes, and the daughter had the casarecce pasta with kale tomato pesto and ricotta. For dessert, I chose the apple pecan tart and the daughter had the roasted peanut and coconut panna cotta. It was a satisfying meal for the both of us and to add to the experience, we were served up chocolate truffles and expresso to finish the dining night -- truly a Chef's Kiss evening! Trelio is a special occasion or impressive date night restaurant that I highly recommend. Seating is limited so I do suggest making a reservation especially if the plan is to dine on a Friday or Saturday night. A big thanks goes to Trevor and the other wait staff who served us on my daughter's special day!

This is a first-rate restaurant, that could be "snooty". The food is creatively imagined and prepared lovingly. The wine pairings enhance the flavors of the food, as they should. Is this the way most Frenchmen dine every day? Je ne sais pas. I haven't noticed any horse meat on the menu. Not sure that would be well received in Clovis. I will say, I wish I could eat this way every day, and drink. The service is warm and friendly, and the ambiance is homey. Someone is crazy about houseplants, and they look well-cared for. Some of the dishes are hand-thrown, and very nicely done. The wine tastings and classes are well worth the time and price. Love this restaurant

This place is incredible!!!! One night we'll out at a comedy show I walked by here and said one day I will try it out. Well finally the day came and it was one of the best experiences of my life foodwise. The service was top notch th staff was very attentive and really made it feel like a personalized experience. The ambiance was simply perfect lighting was perfect and the decor was lovely. We got to eat in the Library which was a nice surprise the decor was awesome especially with the plants made the room feel alive. Now for the food we got a 5 course meal with the wine paring. First time doing this but every single plate that came out was amazing the flavors melted together and made my taste buds dance. The wagyu was out of this world i have never had steak like this before but I am happy to say it was the best i have ever had, cooked perfectly and oh so very tender. What i really loved about the wine paring was they gave you a lot of information. Not jsut simply this taste good with this but why it taste good and a history of the wine some had some of the stories were so intriguing I couldnt help but stop eating to listen. I highly recommend this place so a fancy romantic night out with loved ones. I am not sure if there is a better place in Fresno. Right now this would be the King of restaurants in this city in my book.

Been to plenty of restaurants in Fresno, this right here is a hidden gem, it is up there in my list. From dining experience to the delicious food.

Enjoyed another great prix fixe dinner! We ordered the 5-course with wine pairing and were not disappointed. The advantage of the 3 or 5-course is that the portion sizes are just right. The (optional) wine pairings bring something unexpected and are also the right volume if you plan to drive home! For example, the light sherry paired with the onion soup was just so pleasant smooth. The serving staff know their menu and the sommelier Gary always has good comments about the wines. We appreciate the inclusion of the gratuity in the bill (as is done elsewhere in the world and it has not come to an end) because it make the complete dinner experience seamless, no hassles. For prices, Trelio is comparable to other restaurants in town with lesser food quality: do the math of pre-dinner drinks, appetizers, entrees, wasted food, dessert, more drink... It's a much better dining experience if you are looking for a creative menu, beautiful presentation, and quiet atmosphere (no kids!) conducive to good eating and conversation.
