Bagel was stale, coffee was coffee. I’m getting old and service isn’t what it was anywhere, including here.

i got two bagels yesterday & they were hard as a rock. i had to nuke it for about 15 seconds, then i was able to cut it. the toasted onions just flaked off, but they were hard to chew anyway. this was my 1st visit & it was my last. bye buh.

Good food and service. Sometimes a bit too crowded but I like the outside seating. The bagels are usually fresh but the last time I went they were not.

A group went there 810 am and there was no cashier and therefore couldn't sell bagels :(. Many people left disappointed

My favorite bagel spot in the peninsula and sf. They make a great white fish salad-- if it's in stock, get the whitefish salad bagel with all the fixings. Fresh OJ as well, which is a huge plus! They deliver on lots of apps

Went to get a turkey omelet breakfast sandwich. The sandwich is supposed to come with egg, tomato, spinach and Swiss cheese. I like tomatoes so I paid for an extra. When I got my sandwich there were no tomatoes in the omelet and no extra tomato I paid for. Hopefully if I stop by again, this won't happen.

Thoroughly disgusted after this visit..I was approaching the cashier and reading the menu above. I glanced at the workers making sandwiches and noticed out of maybe five employees one was not wearing gloves while making a bagel sandwich. I found that really unsettling as he was reaching into the meats, veggies, cream cheese, without any gloves. I watched who made my sandwich as I wasn't going to eat it if the ungloved employee made it. Well, this older Asian man must've been the owner or manager because once he was finished with the bagel sandwich, he wrapped it and went outside to sit and eat at one of the tables. Well yes he was making himself a sandwich but he was contaminating the containers with the veggies and meats. I don't delude myself into thinking that the folks with the gloves aren't cross contaminating at times , but AT LEAST wear the gloves!! It's was so gross and entitled, they need to do a lot better.

Yes! Finally found a decent bagel spot with excellent choices of cream cheese. I want to highlight my fav bagel here. It's the Lox Bagel.. Yes this is a common staple for types of breakfast bagels. But I wanted to share how different and amazing it tastes. You can choose the type of bagel to use.. that is nothing new. The one thing that sets House of Bagels apart from others. They include lettuce, tomato, and a generous portion of salmon. It's a salmon bagel sandwhich! I will include a picture. Also, the selection of cream cheese! Two fav ones I buy, Ube flavor & Garlic flavor. Sell them in small or large containers. Fairly priced. Goes well with any bagel! House of Bagels is a must try for those who want their bagels made diff. They have other popular selections, including pulled pork or a vegetarian option. I will always come back for their lox bagel.

The onion bagels were extremely salty the way the were to add SALT to it. Customers service was fine though.

I've heard mention that the elusive "good bagel" can be procured in San Francisco but I am almost always disappointed. When the House of Bagels on Geary stopped being fantastic I was forced to embark on a quest for a reliable source of "good bagels". I sampled bagels at numerous locations around the city. Nothing stood out as remarkable. A few years passed and I still hadn't found a "good bagel place" that I could count on. In December of 2022, I needed three-dozen bagels for a party on the 25th. I had left off buying bagels until the last minute. Everything is closed on the 25th and my only hope was a "Chinese bagel place" with the same name as my old, favorite, shop on Geary. It was late in the day and when I arrived, the proprietor was locking up. Maybe he saw the desperation on my face and took pity on me, or maybe he is just a nice guy, but, to my utter astonishment and relief, he unlocked the door and let me in. I think I bought all the day-olds available. I recall noticing a nice mix of flavors already bagged for sale. I checked the refrigerator hoping they might have a couple of schmears to save me the trouble of making them myself and, wow! What a surprise! So many wonderful flavor combinations. The classics and some more creative flavors in different sizes! I grabbed a bunch of the savory shmears and headed for the register. I was so over-joyed at my success and good fortune - and the proprietor was so nice, I almost didn't want to ask - so, I asked, "you don't by any chance have whitefish, do you?"OMG! I almost plotzed when he answered, "what size?". I dropped at least a hundy on my new favorite bagel place that day. That was before I had taken a bite. I didn't care. They were friendly, they had whitefish, they had parking. What's to complain about? The absolute best part of the story? THE BAGELS ARE GOOD! REALLY, REALLY, GOOD! This year, spent twice as much and my mouth is watering just thinking about those bagels . . .

My current obsession- literally. BLTA on jalapeño cheese bagel. So simple, yet soo delicious and satisfying. Staff are always so nice and friendly. They get super busy but they'll still get your order done pretty fast. I always want to try something new on their menu but I can never not order my go-to lol

I'm never a morning person but on this special day that I was, I went to check out House of Bagels. They have an assortment of bagels, shmears, and some pastries. I got their bagel with an Ube Shmear, Rye bagel egg salad bagelwich and an alfajores. Everything was so delicious I went back in to get a toasted pesto cheese bagel to-go. The staff was quite friendly and efficient. The fridges with the shmears give off a supermarket vibe where you have so many choices to take home.

Bacon omelette (add tomato): bagel was dry, maybe if it had smear or something it wouldn't be as noticeable. Eggs were over cooked, tasted burnt. Pesto Asiago w/ regular smear and tomato slice: bagel didn't taste freshly cooked, kinda of dry. The flavor was really good though. Service was fine but nothing spectacular. We were surprised with how quickly they were made.
