Out a 10, I rate this Jamaican restaurant a 6 I ordered jersey chicken and a oxtail dinners. I paid around $56.00. The jersey chicken was oven baked and the sauce was watery. The oxtail sauce was also watery and not very tasty. However two meat were tender. I ordered the food to go. I asked for pepper sauce. I was told to purchase a bottle for $4.00. I did not want a hole bottle. The worker refused to allow me to pour pepper sauce on my food to go...regardless of the moneyspent.....how greedy. Not cool

Several people recommended this place, but I am unsure if I agree with the hype. I loved the veggies and plantains, but the rest left much to be desired. The place stayed busy, so kudos to them for the amount of repeat business they get.

The oxtails were pretty good, but they forgot one of my orders (festival appetizer). Double check your food before you leave. Also, $28 for a plate is pretty steep.

Love my root food, and since JA is too far, this has to satisfy my taste buds when I crave curry goat, oxtail, or ackee & saltfish... I love that they carry the canned cheese, and the seasonal Easter bun, scotch bonnet sauce, and fruit cake you can spike all day. The patties are very good as well. When you don't have 6 hours to cook these delicacies, leave the heavy lifting to Island Breeze. It is a little high gross but so worth it.

I loved the food and the quick, thoughtful service!

Today was my first time trying Jamaican cuisine, and I'm honestly saddened that it took me so long!

I ordered Oxtail with Festival + Yam, and it was amazing. The dish was packed with flavor and truly seemed to be cooked with love—it felt just like home-cooked food. There’s something comforting about a saucy, well-seasoned meal paired with delicious bread (the Festival) that reminds me of a dish made by your best friend's mom.

My order was prepared quickly, and before I left with my to-go meal, I was shown my dish to ensure everything was correct—a thoughtful touch, especially since many restaurants tend to get orders wrong often.

I also love that you can customize your meal. It was great to choose my sides instead of being limited to a preset option.

I can’t wait to return and try more dishes! This local mom-and-pop restaurant may not have flashy lights outside, but it’s clear that people recognize this hidden gem.

Three of us went on a Saturday evening. Menu on wall is clearly laid out, and we ordered on a touch-screen. No alcohol, but an assortment of interesting soft drinks, e.g., ginger beer. Main dishes with two sides start at $17. We ordered Brown Stew Chicken ($17) and Curried Goat (2 for $22 each) on the touch screen, which was easy to navigate and pay, unlike some I've experienced. Food was ready pretty quickly. The staff opened each styrofoam box for us to inspect and offered hot sauce in bottles. Large portions! Steamed vegetables were tasty and the carrot strips were crispy. Fried plantains were as good as I've had. Lots of flavor for both the chicken and goat. The atmosphere is nothing to speak of, just tables in a plain room, but if you're just there for the food, that's all you need. I'll be back!

I can't rave enough about this place. My wife was in tears having her oxtails. Since her mom has passed on we haven't been able to find anything close enough to that level of home cooking. This place was delicious and filling. We spent a lot but you don't have to. We just wanted leftovers for the next day. We warmed them up the next day and it was just as delicious as before. We had the oxtail plate with vegetables and rice and beans, the jerk chicken with plantains and the sweet bread, a bowl of the stewed chicken, an extra order of plantains, and 2 curry chicken meat pies. I was big backed and didn't care! Plus the service was fantastic. I was a little worried with such good service that the flavors wouldn't be on point but nope they just are 5 stars ALL the way around!
