Her food is really good I enjoy her cooking.Her establishments is very put together thoughtful of how she wants it to look, very home style warm friendly, her assistants are very professional like and courteous, you can order and wait a little because she has a whole lot goings on but you will be satisfied on your dollar and you will be coming back Okay I said it home from home really good cook.

Good food, friendly service! Traveling for business, and I had to try a Local spot, and I was not disappointed! I had catfish and told him to surprise me with the sides, I had some cabbage and red beans and rice. All delicious, even threw in a piece of chicken to try, my lucky day!

I really enjoyed eating here. I had the catfish filet entree and was blown away by the flavor. It is definitely worth the wait. I had the red beans and rice on the side. It was sooooo good. I want some more. The food is so delicious, I can't wait to go back. The service is excellent. The cashier was so sweet and nice. He was doing it all and with a smile. I loved the ambiance but it's not really made for sitting down for long. Don't get me wrong it is a very beautiful set up but it is tight. It is designed for small groups of maybe two to four but nothing larger. All the desserts looked so good and fresh. I wish I had tried one oh them but I will make it my mission next time to do so. If you are in the Compton area and you're looking for some good food for your soul, this is the place to go. I'm looking forward to my next visit there.

The food was amazing. The service was excellent. We felt like family dining here. We went during lunch time, the timing was perfect. The wait wasn't long and you're acknowledged as soon as you arrive. I ordered the turkey chop, Delicious. I didn't know it was a such thing. The sides were delicious as well. All of us ordering immensely enjoyed everything. The food was so good that we started in and finished. Forgot all about pictures LOL!

Almas food is absolutely delicious ! Her ox tails are succulent, hearty and very flavorful. The Mac is perfect, not too buttery, just tge right amount of cheese. Smothered chicken is excellent! The staff are exceptional! Brandon is so very nice! Love Almas!! Ya gotta go!

The food is delicious and comforting (as soul food should be!) and Alma and every employee were super friendly, warm, and charming! You can tell this place is loved by locals and visitors alike. I had one of the new menu items, the chicken and peach cobbler pancakes, which is soooo good! The chicken was perfectly crispy and seasoned on the outside, and juicy and hot on the inside. It paired extremely well with the peach cobbler pancakes, which were just the right amount of sweetness and soooo fluffy!!! The interior was also cute and cozy! HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you're in town (and also stop by the Compton Art and History Museum next door)!!
