Very cool place, unlike any other, full of surprises. Go there and ask to fly, as simple as that…

I been here 3 times and the food never disappoints I recently ate steak and eggs for brunch with view of the helicopters taking off which is one of those perks about this place. Their brunches are well prepared with food, drinks and music . Its a spot to get together with friends and enjoy a sat or sunday off

I had the Chilean sea bass but did not finish it because of the strong smell and weird taste I'm not sure if it was spoiled but it was definitely undercooked. The vegetables were beautiful but over seasoned I couldn't eat those either. The chef if you call her that had us get our drinks from the vending machine I guess she doesn't carry beverages. My husbands breakfast looked ok but this hands down was the worse idea ever for us. I was told about this place 2 years ago when it had another chef I'm sad that I didn't go when he was still there. Also almost everything on the menu is always sold out. I think this new chef has no idea what she's doing. Oh and she doesn't speak English very well either.

Had a awesome experience in this place with my son. The food arrives rapidly and the service is just good. Prices are fair.

The staff here is horrible. Who ever is working at 1/29/20 I didn't get her name was so rude and practically yelling on the phone. Awful just unacceptable behavior. Very bad for business.

The food was amazing (I would give the food 5 stars - every bite was on point) and the location is unique. We got the chance to meet the chef who was really attentive this past Summer. The waitress was also really polite. The restaurant faces the airport strip so you have a nice view. At night the place is colorfully ligthed. This place needs a RSVP system because I've only been able to eat here once. Not because people are waiting but because no one is there to take your order!! I live in the neighborhood and since my first visit I have dropped by 3 different times with no one near sight to attend us. Unfortunately, the museum staff is run by youth who are not helpful and don't know who is running the restaurant.Their Instagram page is also unresponsive and calling ahead doesn't help either :( Be mindful before you make your way over as no one might be available. I look forward to eating there again someday.

Remember when they used to serve meals on a flight? Of course you don't! Not even during the golden age of airline travel aboard a DC 3 did they but on this DC 3 you will. Hands down one of the best Chilean sea bass I've ever had. Atop buttered rice and flanked by perfectly sautéed veggies, the sea bad was buttery in texture reminiscent of black cod and sweet that reminded me of scallops. I wasn't even hungry when I stopped in. I devoured it all.

I came here for lunch the other day with a coworker after hearing about how good this place was from some people at work. The place is definitely different and unique. It's located at the Compton airport. It's a food truck that's inside part of an old airplane with some tables and chairs behind it. There's also a nice view of the airstrip from the giant window next to the tables. The tables are located underneath a large overhang so there's plenty of shade which was nice on a warm day. We were greeted when we got there and grabbed a table before being given Kindles that had the menus on them. The menu was pretty extensive and included steaks, chicken, pasta, lamb, etc. There was a lot of variety which was nice. Prices ranged from around $14 to $25 which was very reasonable given the quality and quantity. We both ordered the butterflied lamb which also came with rice, mashed potatoes and veggies, along with a small salad to start. The salad was fresh with some veggies and fruit in it and was really tasty. The lamb was delicious and well seasoned. There was way too much food to finish everything given all the sides it came with. The rice and mashed potatoes were plain but cooked well. The veggies had a nice seasoning on them and a great variety. For $16, it was a great value. My only complaint was that service was a bit slow and the food took a while to come out. Even though we were the only people here when we ordered, there's only one person (I think) doing all the cooking so it took a while. Definitely don't come here if you're looking for a quick meal.

I work in the city of Compton and am always excited to find new places to eat. I take pride in going to different places and telling my coworkers about it to support our local restaurants. This place is fairly cute and they have a nice outside seating. As I sat there for a while while they blasted "the wave.fm" I couldn't help to wonder when I was going to get the menu atleast. I believe from the moment I got there and received a menu it took about 20 minutes... mind you I only have 1 hour lunch. I felt kind of bad for the cook because he seemed he was the only one running around but I couldn't help to think.. WOW.. what if this place was full of people? He'd definitely be screwed. I was made aware the food is cool to order, which is nice but not too friendly for my lunch break time. We finally received our lunch about 12:40 and it was good. Eh. Would I come back again??? Mmmm MAYBE. I think I would have to pre-order and hope for better service next time.

Chef William is an amazing person with a wonderful spirit. I've been eating here now for a year and a half. I remember when William started. William holds generous conversations and goes the extra mile to please. I have probably eaten everything on the menu at least once. I've never had a bad meal at DC-3. Thank you Chef William and thank you Robin for providing this service in the City of Compton. A true hidden jewel.

Went for lunch a few months ago. All outdoor seating with a clear view of the runways. There was only one other party there which was perfect. Nice and quiet. The atmosphere is a stronger suit than the food. I don't remember what I ordered but I do know that I'd like to go back.

Amazing place and very tasty steaks!!! Took my son on a Helicopter ride with Robin ... What an incredible experience. Could not have asked for a better pilot and such a great thing he has done for the community of Compton. Thank you Robin!

Chef William asked what I liked and suggested the New Zealand Organic Ribeye was complimented with potatoes, veggies, and fruit. It was all well seasoned to perfection! This is my new favorite place to eat near home. I can't wait to come back for breakfast and lunch!
