Use to be my go to fish spot prior to this recent ownership change. The service has suffered tremendously, the wait time has more than doubled and the quality of the cook on the fish has declined. Searching for a new go to......
Food has always been amazing. Fast friendly service.
We had the 8 peice fish and shrimp it was absolutely delicious so tender and juicy. It didnt have a fishy taste, the shrimp were huge and seasoned to perfection. We will definitely go back...
You guys….. DO NOT GO. The Hispanic dude up front has the most ugliest attitude, he looks miserable and speaks to you like he hates his job. I placed a phone order and my husband went to pick up and he messed up the order AND spoke to my husband so disrespectful. He should be very careful with his attitude. He’s in the wrong neighborhood. We asked for a money back and left the food.
Under new ownership as of a month ago. It’s a no for me. I’ve been eating here since a kid. Although ownership has changed plenty of times. The last 10years has been the same consistency and flavor. Today I spent $100 thinking I was getting what I use to get. NO! No flavor, didn’t provide my lemons and my shrimp was not fried crispy like usual. I guess after 10 years I have to find me another fish market. Supposedly the new owner is the same as Kim fish market whoever that is.
The service was pleasant and the place is clean and inviting. I really liked that you can see the cooking area from the front—it makes the experience feel fresh and transparent. There was only one cook visible, so I’d recommend calling in your order ahead of time to reduce the wait.
A lot of people were coming in to pick up food, which is always a good sign that the food is worth it. I loved that they still serve a slice of bread with the meal, just like the classic fish spots “back in the day.”
My red snapper, shrimp, and fries were well-seasoned and cooked perfectly—crispy on the outside and flavorful inside.
Accessibility is also a plus: there’s a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking space. The small parking lot had open spaces, and there was also street parking nearby, so parking was easy.
Overall, a great experience with delicious seafood and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back!
I love Matt's however, on this visit, my food was over cooked! Hard shrimp and fries! Always hit or miss!😔
The salsa was flavorful.
Yummy!!
It is cooked to perfection every time and the fish is very fresh.
Check it out for yourself you will not be disappointed.

Fish and fries were delicious. A little pricey but I'll definitely be returning. EBT not accepted 😑 Oh, the tartar sauce is homemade and the hot sauce is the delicious Sol packet. I think that's the name of it.
I ordered the filet of sol and a shrimp combo. Everything was delicious. The place was busy but the wait time for the food was under 20 minutes. Parking was easy to find. I Will definitely be back.
