If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Tacos El Checo on Alameda is hands down one of the most mouth-watering, authentic taco spots I’ve ever been to in Los Angeles. From the moment I walked up, I could feel the warmth of this family-owned and operated gem. Everything about it feels welcoming, clean, and made with so much love.

husband ordered the all meat (pollo/chicken) with no onions and added cheese. Said it was amazing and the chicken was perfectly grilled. I however did not favor my meal. I ordered the meat (half pastor/half lingua) nachos. I think I expected either homemade nacho cheese sauce or cheese blend on chips then put under broiler to melt. what I got was canned nacho cheese sauce that had been thinned down with water as it was rather soupy.
