Terrible experience. The owner and staff looked unhappy and didn’t even say hello or thank you.
have no sense of basic business manners.

The food and service here is AMAZING! The soon tofu and LA galbi were perfect!! The quality and taste are both very satisfactory and prices are very good. Also, the staff were very friendly and made the experice overall a 10/10.

My first time trying this spot out and all the food I got was so yummy! All the side dishes were fresh and are now my favorite out of the spots I’ve tried in the past! The prices are definitely a reflection of the portion size, I promise it’s worth it! When I asked to have something removed from a dish they were very nice and accommodated my request! Overall would return again especially with how friendly the staff is! Happy to have found this spot which is local!

Messed up my order and nothing was done to make up the mistake -
Came here yesterday with my friend, I ordered a BEEF tofu stew and when my order came it had mushrooms in it with a bit of beef and my friend I was very confused thinking they might’ve add the mushrooms by mistake or they mistakenly put in the “beef & mushroom tofu stew” that was also on the menu. I don’t really eat mushrooms and took all of it out and when it came time to pay the bill…
Imagine the shock on our faces when my order came up as:
“Mushroom tofu stew”
My friend and I was both flabbergasted, management did nothing to make up for the mistake and light heartedly offered free mandus the next visit but I’m never coming here ever again. Future customers beware you have been warned for any mistakes on the servers part will be paid by yourself. Food was decent but service was terrible.

Fast service/nice staff. Authentic Korean food, have eaten here multiple times with my Korean wife. Have never had a bad meal from the basics like galbi to the soups, stews, buckwheat noodles, etc. Definitely our go-to for Korean near the IE.

Went in sat down ask if one order was good for two the server said no. So we order another dish. Yap it was to much. They brought our order in it was a lot. The boy who serve us, didn’t even see we had no water to drink. The server kept serving others and acted like he didn’t hear us. So called the lady behind the counter. She just ignored us. So I started to get up to get myself then they brought us a pitcher of water. That bad part I ask five times plus no forks or spoons to eat with as of no choice only chop sticks. The server showed how to mix the food we were to eat that was good. But the server must no the portions to server the customer so we have a choice.

We had a late lunch at Da Rae on Sunday afternoon. We ordered the Darae Bossam & Deonjang Jjigae and Grilled Mackerel Ssambap. They gave us a Buchujeon (Korean chive pancake) for free as an appetizer. All the vegetables for Ssambap were very fresh and everything was delicious! The lady who brought us food was very friendly and funny too. We'll definitely eat there again.

Da Rae has become a go-to spot for Korean comfort food. The food is definitely similar to that of other well-being tofu houses. There is no tabletop grill, so it is not like a Korean BBQ place.
When dining in, the food comes out fresh and HOT. Soups come out of the kitchen in stone bowls, meat on hot plates, and the banchan is tasty as ever. Some dishes I've had are the Bulgolgi Bibimbap (so so good), and their soup + entrée combo of the Kimchi Soup and Bulgolgi. Another favorite is the scallion pancakes when we're dining in. I have heard great things about the fried rice from friends, and their tteokbokki is REALLY tasty.
I would recommend dining in more than takeout just because the food is fresher and it does make a difference. It is still very tasty, but nothing beats the fresh, warm food on a cold or windy day. Whether dining in or picking up, you will be getting banchan - the kimchi, potato salad, pickled cucumbers & radish, seaweed, even the fish cakes! They even have that really good barley tea ready for you. I can go on and on, but I think you get the point. This place is a must for their food.
The one aspect I find lacking occasionally is their service. From time to time, when it is busy, they are sometimes slow to refill drinks or they might forget a food item - but keep in mind the larger the order, the more complicated the order, longer the food will take to get to you, since it is made fresh. Those times service was a bit iffy, we had a large order. The ladies are very very sweet and I always asked respectfully if something wasn't quite right, so don't be shy if you aren't sure about an order - they are quick to correct mistakes.
However, nothing will stop me from coming to this restaurant. I hope you'll enjoy it just as much as I do. :)
