Came on a Wed night around 7pm..wasnt busy at all.. anyway, was pleasantly surprised by some major.changes..their sushi now comes with an even smaller amount of rice..almost as if im eating straight sashimi..i think theyre trying to stay competitive with other ayce spots around the area..also have a new premium sashimi sampler as part pf ayce.. good job on these changes! Keep it like this and ill be back more often.

I’ve been going to the restaurant for years. Unfortunately, it recently gone down hill with its standards.
My brothers and I came here a couple days ago (9/15/24) and these were the things I noticed:
Cracked uncleaned plates with brown stains on them.
The counter at the bar, where we were sitting, looked like it hasn’t been wiped in 2 weeks.
We didn’t order much food, there were roughly 10 people in the restaurant, and there were still instances of receiving food really late and missing multiple rolls.
But the absolute worst part of everything was the handling and storing of the food. After a day, my brothers and I couldn’t sleep for 3 nights due to the insufferable amount of pain in our body due to food poisoning. We didn’t eat before going to sushi asahi nor afterwards. I can assure you, if you’re reading this review, this restaurant stopped caring about their quality of food and presentation and it definitely shows. After telling my family and friends about what happened to us, we all agreed to never go to this place again just because of the “cheaper” all you can eat sushi prices.
Sushi asahi, if you’re reading this, take my advice, spend money on some NEW plates, a new refrigeration system, train your chefs to CONSTANTLY switch gloves, and maybe your next health inspection won’t cause you to sweat.

My tip was included on my order. I was unaware of this and added a tip. When I asked for a receipt, they told me there was no paper. A little shady.

This is a good place for AYCE. They use decent quality fish but use alot of rice and the majority of the crab used is imitation crab. I get it, it is all you can eat and they have to make it profitable, so I don't expect alot for a decent price. The price is good for what you get. I do recommend this place for all you can eat Sushi in Corona. The service was great to.

Mediocre sushi with a little more than expected pricing for AYCE and even combination boxes.
Over $35 dollars for all you can eat and most of the quality felt like it was picked up from a big box grocery store and served to me. Most of the food from the kitchen were luke warm at best. The fried food (tempura and calamari) had similar texture to buying a box from the 99 Ranch on the other side of the parking lot.
If you just need a fix and don't want to make the 35 min drive to OC this place can suffice just don't come in having great expectations.
There was this very attentive server with a kind smile and dirty blonde hair that made our experience a little better but her counter part was standoff-ish and possible stressed out. Giving benefit of the doubt here but you could almost tell one had more experience than the other.

Food was alright. Rolls were pretty large.
Order tiger roll and received totally different roll. The server wasn't very attentive. We had to serve our own water from a table with nearby utensils. Don't think I'll drive out of my way again.
