Brought 6 people to eat at 830 when it said they’re open till 9. Walked in to him saying they were closed although it was crowded inside. Been going to Avila’s for years. Unfortunately this manager has directed our business elsewhere. Ended up at Mario’s.If you advertise that your open till 9 then stay open till 9. Especially when it’s busy.Poor management.

I was a regular at Avila’s HB before they closed temporarily, but this location is even better! The environment was so warm and welcoming, and the food was great as usual!

Our server Jaide was awesome! The food was great and we are Mexicans… meaning, we are very picky about Mexican food.

Very dependable, I like to go between lunch and dinner in order to miss the rush, it's understandably popular, the combo with chile relleno and cheese enchilada with tomatillo sauce is my favorite. Friendly bar service, and the owner/manager is very personable and friendly.Vegetarian options: Combo with cheese enchilada/tomatillo sauce and chili relleno is very good.Parking: I prefer to go between lunch and dinner to avoid the crowds and struggle with parking.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a section for handicap parking.

My favorite Mexican restaurant!!! I used to live in the area and eat here regularly. Living in Colorado now but every time I am in SoCal this place is a must stop. Had an early dinner and mezcal margarita before heading to the airport last week. Awesome as usual!

I Love this place on a rainy day. The Tortilla Soup is what brings me back Everytime. It's a delicious blend of home cooked chicken soup and that little bit of love your Grandmother would splash in the pot. Very flavorful and large chunks of chicken fresh veggies and the Handmade Corn Tortillas Complement Avila's Tortilla Soup. Hand down my all time Favorite Rainy Day Go To Restaurant. They even have a full Bar for those that enjoy a Libation or two while snacking.. trust me try the soup on a Rare Cold California Day and you won't be disappointed..

Delicious Mexican food in large portions, friendly staff and cozy nice atmosphere. Our server Rocky was very welcoming and a good host for our first visit! The Fish tacos and sizzling shrimp Fajitas were some of the best we’ve tasted. Warmly recommended.

Salvador was at the door for seating. We were sat almost immediately. Had the veggie fajitas, absolutely deeelish! Great margaritas. The crowd was chill. Sat outside, they have heaters if you get cold. It was busy, but they are great at getting seated pretty quickly. My husband grew up going there as a kid, so it's been around for decades. We are not locals anymore but we definitely make sure to go when we are feeling chips and salsa. They're the best.Vegetarian options: I had the veggie fajitas. I didn't really look for other vegetarian dishes.

Out of all of Avila's El Ranchito locations, I love this one on Placentia... the staff is so wonderful and welcoming and the service is great. Really tasty homemade quality food and amazing Camarones Diablo!
