Okay for quick sandwiches

Wow!! I think i have a new favorite sandwich place to eat at!!! It's been years since i had a Banh Mi sandwich and I'm glad i came here! I ordered the eggplant and jerky sandwich and oh my, the bread was so FRESH and crunchy!!!! The vegetables were fresh too! I'm not sure what sauce is in it but it was sweet and added a great flavor. One thing I'll do next time is ask for double the filling. I still felt hungry after i ate the sandwich, but I'll be back!I ordered the vegan spring roll and it was ok. Nothing amazing. I'll just stick to the sandwich.

Stop lying. I had my mask the whole time. You were the one not wearing one. Only person that had a mask around their neck was the cook and she didn't even have it around her mouth. JUST FOLLOW THE LAW

Looking at pictures of their bahn mi from awhile back, it's obvious that something has changed. Carrots in a bahn mi are supposed to be julienned (which they appear to be in their older pics). Not so here. The carrots in the sandwich were round and slightly too thick. The meat was somehow gross and yet tasteless. The bahn mi tasted exactly like the vermicelli noodles - just tasteless. The reviews for this place are out of this world and MISLEADING. Bahn mi's are one of my favorite things and this one completely sucked. To the point where I didn't even finish it. I know, me, not finishing food, that's how bad it was.

Not a good or authentic banh mi, bread is too bland and soft. Disappointing especially because there are so many good banh mi sandwiches in Bolsa area!

I really wanted to like this place since a good bahn mi is hard to come by. This was literally the worst I have had. I got a chicken as well as a pork sandwich. The chicken was rubbery and had so much mayo it was gross to eat. As for the pork, it looked like a microwaved patty of cat food. Never seen anything like it, to the point it was thrown away after one bite as to not risk getting sick.

I can only eat soft food after surgery so I went to this place. I was very specific to not put spices and to make the noodles really soft so I can ingest it. I got what I needed. The Pho is amazing. Love this place. Will definitely go back.

Be careful ppl if you leave bad reviews they will private message you and attack you, they keep claiming their bread and meat is top notch quality, Absolutely not true. They keep sending me private messages with mean accusations and comments. Instead of being apologetic and fix the issues they will attack and get super Defensive and told me I will have karma in life for leaving a bad review, kept using covid 19 and pandemic as excuse! I asked for a grilled pork springroll plus shrimp. I got a sad looking springroll w only lettuce and 2 small boiled shrimp. I am Vietnamese and those were for my kids. Springroll is not suppose to look like that. Me and my husband ate our sandwich and the meat was hard and old and rubbery.. this was not the food we had from months back. I should have tooken pictures. I wanted to support u guys but this is absolutely sad, how wonder there were no customers. Stay consistent and customers will always be back and the food was not exposed to the sun at all we had it in our bag and also got to it upon arrival of the beach. And also I asked for 6 eggrolls and got 4 this is not even the point. I am vietnamese so I know what this food is suppose to look and taste I won't be coming back. Springroll lettuce was wilted as well and discolored. And thanks for cutting everything in half and I appreciate that since I have young kids that make it easier for them to eat. Update: they have very thin skin and I def do not ever want to come back to pay for poor quality food, and I live hours away.. no thanks do not think I want more yucky food from here. And for the record it's PANDEMIC not epidemic My food came just the Same as Anna c's review below ppl I Why would I want to drive hours just to get more free poor quality food and make up lies? You keep claiming ur business is this and that but this is my personal experience and I can voice my thoughts for others to decide. And yes I read a lot of reviews that you guys can't take criticism well disgusting person I can post the private messages you kept messaging me as well and our conversation, I did not blackmail or extort, read my first review it was short and simple and my experience here. Until you keep messaging me privately, I will post the whole private messages if you can't be mature and own up to your mistakes. This is my last update and I cannot waste anymore time over this nonsense over a business that can't take a critique have a nice time while your business remains open

This review is for the Banh Mi's. - They are kind of pricey $6.99 each compared to other Viet Sandwich places $4.49 - $5.50; most likely due to higher Costa Mesa rent? - I initially ordered 4 banh mi's but cut the order to 3 sandwiches, b/c I didn't realize the price - The baguette was very delicious, airy not dense, yet crispy texture to the outside - Good quality chicken and qty of chicken too - But perhaps heavy on the butter mayo - The veggies (cucumber, do chua, jalepeno) were sliced too thin and missing the vinegar acid component that I am used to - It was good enough for an impromptu Sat picnic though *** There is a bit of a wait to get your order filled, I guess they make it all per order, so I waited kind of a long time, there was a lady with egg rolls that ordered after me, she got her order first. *** If you do a check in, they have a free sandwich sized baguette. - Wen to my pal's and ate it with butter and jam - Their baguettes are great There seems to be another business inside, DANE's donuts. - They use a high gluten flour so it's pretty chewy - Pricing is kinda high, but he gave me a break on their smores donut reduced to $2.60 Cute interiors, great artwork, high ceilings. Place had plenty of parking.

Can't really comment on service because we were the only ones in there, but overall, very personable and attentive. Now on to the important stuff - the food! Ordered a beef pho and caramelized pork banh mi. Pho: clean broth (I enjoy more of that fattier broth, to each is own), a little on the fishier side (but I like that), small serving size for $8.99, I enjoy thinly sliced steak, but they had chunks of beef (not a fan of that texture with pho because the noodles are so delicate. I would expect that type of beef cut more for ramen, a heavier broth/noodle soup). Now for the banh mi: flavor was there, pate delish, baguette freshly baked daily (crispy around the edges, fluffy in the middle), however, ratio was way off, barely any veggies, everything was clumped together in random areas of the sandwich. These small changes really could elevate their dishes. For a local spot not in Westminster, they were subpar.

Don't bother getting the tofu option here. I ordered it and I did not get TOFU. If you're a vegetarian like myself, and you bite into the sandwich and you get something else you almost get sick immediately. Don't risk it vegetarians, go somewhere else! I can't stand Eggplant so I know I didn't order that option. I contacted the store directly and told them what happened and they wouldn't redo my sandwich or refund me. They just argued they gave me tofu. Such a huge disappointment!

Disgusting, had to spit it out; Baguette was so stale and meat was tough with no taste. Coffee tasted like dirty water, worst coffee I've ever had in my life.

I got the bahn mi sandwich with beef and it was delicious! The star of this sandwich is the baguette, which they clearly make fresh handmade! It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside! I would definitely come here again.

Saw the yelp photos and really wanted to try this place, so my husband and I ventured out to give it a go for dinner. I should have read and listened to more recent reviews from fellow Yelpers. Would have given this establishment a 1-star, but giving them 2 because the owner/workers seemed like nice people. My husband and I ordered a caramelized pork banh mi (sandwich) with an added egg, 2 spring rolls and 2 pork egg rolls. For the banh mi, we asked that they put cucumbers to one side/half of the sandwich because my husband cannot eat cucumbers. When the food came out, I could not believe what we ordered from the yelp photos were what was laid out in front of us. First of all, the spring rolls had discolored, wilted lettuce (not fresh!), and the egg rolls tasted like they were from this morning. To top that off, the pork egg rolls did not taste anything like pork but a mush of something with cardboard.. at this point, we were patiently waiting for our banh mi sandwich, expecting to eat some real food. Ta-da! The banh mi came out and it was even more disappointing. It didn't look ANYTHING like the photos, and the caramelized pork was so dry - like is this real food or cardboard? I literally don't think it was real meat! AND... drum roll please ---- they forgot our egg, and served everything that should have been inside the sandwich on the side. We had asked for the cucumber to be on one side of the sandwich, that's it. A simple ask gone wrong. At the end of it all, we were so upset we chose to come spend our Friday dinner here. I don't feel satisfied one bit, and have a dry feeling in my mouth because of the cardboard-like "meat". Super disappointing!

I ordered through doordash in the morning. Had anticipated a fresh baguette, but received a stale one. Also ordered a chocolate croissant with special instructions for an almond chocolate croissant, as seen on some of their reviews. If they couldn't provide that pastry, they should have notified me and requested a second choice. Instead, they gave me an unidentifiable croissant that tasted nothing like almond. The flavor inside the baguette was nice, would have ordered again if the bread was fresh.
